Farmers Market

Lexi and I walked down to our Farmers Market (open on Wed. & Sat.) while I was at my part-time job. Here is what we bought......squash, sweet onions and Lexi begged for a watermelon.

When we got home, I sliced and cut up all of the watermelon, and Lexi helped me put it in two big containers in the refrigerator for ease of snacking.
At the end, Lexi jumped on the counter and yelled take a picture......she is tickled at herself in this picture (also, excuse the eye make-up....she had decided to wear it to work...lol).

Last night, I sauteed the squash and onion and added some seasoning and *YUMMY* ~ I could have just eaten the squash for my meal.
We have so much fun going to browse at the Farmers Market and eating the fresh produce that is all locally grown. You never know what you may find.

Morning, Darlene! Oh, the fresh veggies and watermelon look so good. Now I see you have a little helper there. Your daughter is so precious. She is my kinda gal hopping up on that cabinet and posing. Not that I could 'do'that - but I do it in my spirit! lol
Be a sweetie and thanks for stopping by to see my pillow this morning.

Mmmmm! I've got yellow squash growing in my garden. I think I need to start slicing them up with some onions for a delightful side dish.

I love going to farmers markets also. Nothing like fresh picked veggies! For some reason the farmers market fruits and veggies are so much better then the stores.

Hugs,
Joanne
