I Spray Painted !!!!!!

This is before.............

And this is after in black satin................. (sorry my pictures on this are not too great, it really looks great!)

I am tired of the look I have going in my home (also a lack of decorating skills) and have been wanting to try to paint some things. Thanks to Kimba at A Soft Place to Land (I have been stalking her posts, obviously along with many others), I decided to start out small and spray paint this little shelf. It was so EASY.....did I say EASY??? OK, before I landed in blogland, (very recently) I thought you only painted things like this with a paint brush.....DUH. Kimba showed me how wrong I was with all her beautiful pieces. I am also a visual person, so I also want to thank her for the tutorials. Anyway, believe me I have bigger items that will be coming.........

Guess what else???? I went to Dollar Tree today..............

It's amazing how that black satin spray paint can transform an ordinary piece into a treasure.

Hi Darlene,
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog to visit and your sweet comments.
I think your shelf looks really great spray painted black. I have been inspired by a few different blogs to try my hand at spray painting and am amazed at how easy it is and what a difference it makes.
Have a great week.

Hi Darlene,

Thanks for stopping by my blog--and leaving a comment. :) I love the redo on the table. It looks like a brand new piece now. I am really into the black furniture that is in style right now and I love how you made your piece new.

Good job Darlene! Your starting small, very smart! I once painted a coffee table and destroyed it. I will follow you and start small next time. Can't wait to see what you do next.

Oh no! Watch out! Now that you have discovered the spray paint nothing is safe anymore. LOL I love spray paint.

In fact, I was watching a show on HGTV last night and they used regular paint but put it in a spray to paint the furniture. It gives everything such a nice smooth coat of paint.

Good job.
Hugs,
Joanne
