General Chit-Chat...

Lexi has been begging and begging to get her hair cut shorter and so we did. Not so long ago it was down her back and she has been going shorter and shorter. I think it looks cute and the only stipulation I had was with all her sports and activities we need to be able to put it in a pony tail....we still can. She is sure with the sun glasses that she looks several years older....yeah right...hee hee

We also went yesterday afternoon to "Meet & Greet" where she got to see her classroom and meet her teacher.....she is so excited and I am too. School starts tomorrow.

Yesterday was her first day back at dance after the summer break. She is the youngest in both of her classes. She is taking Lyrical (a combination of ballet and jazz) and is by far the youngest in that class (the teacher says she will have no problem keeping up). She is also in High Intermediate Ballet which is a combination ballet and pointe class. She is also the youngest in that class. Her teacher asked me last year if she could move up to this class when we resumed because she says Lexi is good and should do fine. I think I have a little dancer on my hands.
This was at recital from her jazz class from May.

What a cutie! Wow please let her know the glasses do make her look older. Maybe I should stop wearing mine. I need all the help I can get, hehe.... Darlene she is just beautiful.. I bet she can dance! We are going to sign Maddy up for dance again this year. She started when she was 3 and danced for years...then wanted a break... Guess she is ready again, kids!

Lexi is a very cute girl! I like her haircut. My mom used to tell me that if my hair was long enough to pull it was too long! That was back in the 60's when we would get "pixie" hair cuts :)

Your daughter sounds graced with the ability to dance. :)

I hope she has a great year in school?

take care,
Dawn

Awww, how cute!! I love her haircut... it fits her perfectly! I'll bet she has her "first day" outfit picked out already, doesn't she!

Lexi reminds me so much of my own daughter! She had her hair cut in the same style a few weeks ago. She was positive she wanted it short- above her shoulders- and she was right because I love it on her. I wish my daughter stuck with ballet. She didn't enjoy it much after year 3 and at the prices they charged I wasn't going to make her go! lol

With that silky, shiny hair, she could wear it any way and be lovely. What a cutie!

Congratulations to Lexi for her promotion in dancing! Her hair cut is just adorable.
Your black tassel is to die for! How grand! Thank you for including your suggestions in how to make the tassels. Especially with the cost being what it is with the fringe. I have made two tassels. They are the same. :o) One for me and one for my friend. I also like your idea about gifts for teachers. My daughter has fantastic teachers that I would love to bless in a special way. I will need to find out what their tastes and hobbies are! :o) Also, your nesting decor is precious. :o) I too painted a cheese plate I found at a consignment store. Mine is black, but I am really liking your white! Will need to remember that for the next one. :o) They make fun gifts too!
Sincerely ~ Tricia Anne

Cute in her dance outfit, too.

good morning Darlene, How blessed you are to have a beautiful daughter. I always wanted a daughter. I look forward to having 2 daughter in laws someday, and maybe even a granddaughter or two...:) I bet Lexi is a great dancer! Please tell her, I like those glasses!
you ask me if I was a decorater, and I have helped a few people with some decorating, but have never started a business...however, I am praying about it!! Thanks for all your visits and nice comments. Blessings to you and Lexi today, Nancy
