Candlestick Trash to Treasure and A Scrappy Basket

I found these candlesticks at the Goodwill store for .50 and knew immediately what I was going to do. All three of these got painted black (shocking I know).
My candy corn is now living in the dome for the season. I think it is soooo much cuter than just placed in a bowl (as you can see in a previous post). This little pumpkin is sitting on the other candlestick and I tied a raffia bow around it to pretty it up. Much cuter, don't you think?
I also had this cute little basket with the leaves dangling, but I decided to add a little more. These are more of the ragamuffin garland scraps I have and I just tied them onto both of the handles. The giant acorns and pine cone were from my favorite store, Hobby Lobby, and they are on sale this week for 50% off so approx. $2.00 each. I also put a couple of big leaves in the back though it probably really doesn't need them. Just an easy little project to add a bit more to an ordinary basket. It is really cute on my coffee table.

Also love your little basket! I keep hearing everyone talking about Hobby Lobby; I am so curious about what it's like. I think I'll do a search for it online and see what they are about! :)

Darlene, thanks for your comments on my post this morning. I admit to having help with those photos from my dh. I am still pushing a walker from my knee replacement. I can't wait to walk on my own again.

I love your crafty ideas for fall. I love doing things like that. Go Good Will. smile. So attractive and festive.

Really nice transformation. The candy corn looks so much more appetizing when it is in a pretty container. And what a great price for it all. Nice job.

Good morning Darlene
I love how the candlesticks turned out. You make everything look so lovely and that black IS a good colour. I have toned down the white picture frame I sprayed white and I'll be doing the same to the candlestix I sprayed white also. Amazing how good they look after a little spray!
Thank you for sharing.
Your fall decorating looks so nice and cozy. Love what you've done.

Have a lovely day.

Hi Darlene! What can I say! You are so creative! I love what you've done with the candlesticks and little plates. You're too good.
Thanks for stopping by my tablescape. I do have lots of dishes, none are too expensive, but I just love dishes! I have a couple of china cabinets, two buffets and lots of builtins. I do my best! lol
thank you too, for the prayers. I hope your folks come to be with you. When you come to Houston sometimes, you should get in touch with me and maybe we could meet and have lunch!
Be a sweetie,

Look at you, going to town with the black spray paint and making things look fantastic! And the scraps from your garland really beautify that basket.
I think I need to make an afternoon trip to the Hobby Lobby for those cute pinecones.
