An Exciting Day for Lexi...

Sunday was an exciting day for see we had an appointment to get her pointe shoes. She can't wait for dance today.

She is so happy and excited!
I will be gone all day today to a HUGE children's clothing consignment sale (working there and shopping there) so I'll be back to visit everyone on Tuesday.

Update: My Aunt went past my parents home on Sunday and it seems to have done pretty well through the hurricane. One of the front columns was knocked down and most of their backyard fences are down. There are also shingles and debris all over the yard, front and back, but as far as they could tell, it wasn't from their home. No electricity or water and they said you can't get gas anywhere right now. The other story from a lady my mom works with was that she found a McDonalds somewhere (not in my parents area) that was serving food and they were there for about 1 1/2 hours before getting their was that crowded because virtually nothing is open.

Lexi looks so cut with her new toe shoes!
And so glad that your parents' home didn't sustain a lot of damage. I hope the power and water will be on soon.

I remember my first pair of toe shoes! Pointe was my favorite of all the dances I took also! I took dance from kindergarten until HS,and then again in college...but now I can't even walk a straight line! LOL! Lexi is one pretty ballerina! :) ~Rhonda

PS...So glad your parents' home fared well in the storm!

Awhh I can't wait till Lexi can take dance. She dances all the time when any kind of music goes on. I was going to put her in dance but decided to wait till she actually starts school next year.

Your Lexi will enjoy dance. I took for 13 years...oh so long ago and loved it!

Glad to hear your parents home is not messed many have lost their homes.

Have fun shopping!

Lexi is adorable. I bet she just can't wait to break in those shoes!

I'm happy to hear that your parents house wasn't too badly damaged. It sounds like they were among the fortunate.

Brings back memories of when my daughter took dance(12 years) and got her pointe shoes. But it was hard on her knees and she gave up taking the pointe classes. She did continue with tap, jazz and ballet with pointe. Plus she taught there a well for awhile. Such a busy life we had then. Glad to hear your parents are okay.

They grow up too fast don't they? It's an exciting time for her.
Thank goodness your parents are well. It rained here for three days with some flooding near the river (Illinois). Finally a little sunshine today.

I can tell by the look on her face that she is one very happy girl. I hope she enjoys them at dance class today.

I'm glad to hear that your parent's home does not appear to have too much damage. I have a friend that I teach with who has a sister that lives in Texas. They evacuated their home with their 5 children five and under and can't get back home for a couple of weeks!

I hope you had fun working and shopping today.

take care,

That is great news about your parents house. And how cute is Lexi, in her point shoes. She makes a beautiful ballerina. My daughter Heather took ballet when she was Lexi's age, she was on point too. I have lots of photos of her.
Have a great week.
