Fallin' Around on the Porch

I've shared the inside of my home and now here is our front porch. Please excuse the bare concrete....we had that outdoor carpet and it was nasty, so it was pulled up and nothing has been put back down yet.

How neat is this texture-y pumpkin?? It is really big too. (To answer some of your questions about this big pumpkin, YES it is real.)
None of my mums are in their full blooming glory yet. I purposely picked them that way. I want it to be into October before the spectacular show of blooms. I'll show ya pictures when it happens.
Oh, how do you like my stone goose standing guard?? I think I should tie a big Fall bow around his neck.

Darlene, your porch looks wonderful. I wish I had a porch. That is one thing I miss not having on my house.

You have so many great fall items out. I like the wheelbarrow. It looks perfect. That pumpkin is certainly textured looking. I'll bet the mums will be glorious when they bloom.

take care,
Dawn

Looks great Darlene...I haven't started on the front yet...It's suppose to cool off again by the end of the week...hopefully I'll be inspired to do something then...

Love the wheelbarrow and funky pumpkin:)

We all get really excited here and start pulling out things earlier and earlier...the mums are so pretty and then...by the time it's time to go Trick or Treating and Thanksgiving...it's hot weather and things are dead..Wish it would just cool off and stay that way...regardless..of the ups and downs in weather... Fall is wonderful isn't it...

Darlene....

Love your porch decor! Yep add a bow to Mr. Goose or is it a Miss, anyway he/she will be feeling all left out and might have to waddle somewhere else if it is not included in your fallin decor. giggles...

Love your pumpkin, really different from the norm and I love things that are different! I am still waiting for some pretty mums, they just haven't reached my Walmart. They were just getting them in last week so going to check in later this weekend.

Love your stuff again! Thanks for sharing!

Yes, dress that goose up for fall. Your porch is beautiful. Makes me realize I had better get back there and clean mine up. Is that bumpy pumpkin real? Jackie

Your porch looks great! Is that texture-y pumpkin real? I've never seen anything like it. I love all your decor.... I'm off to buy mums today.

Darlene,
Your porch looks so good. I still haven't finished my outside decorating. I did get my mums and they are like yours (just beginning to bloom). That textured pumpkin is great--have never seen one like it. Everything looks wonderful!

It looks so pretty!! I love all your display space!

I think you should tie a ribbon around his neck too. So cute!

Hi Darlene! I love your porch. It looks so warm and inviting! The goose reminds me of my grandma's house because she has two stone bears standing guard at her front walkway. They've been there for as long as I can remember. :)

By the way, I copied your "fake cloche" idea and had a blast doing it! Check out my blog to take a look. Have a great day!

You have such a pretty front porch! I saw some of those mums at lowes the other day, just ready to burst. I can't wait to see yours when they decide to open up.

I think unfinished concrete is SO much better than carpet.

I love your front porch! The pumpkins and the flowers and your scarecrow are just wonderful together on your porch! I love how you put the little wheelbarrow out there, too! The wicker chairs look very inviting with the pillows and the throw! :)

Have a wonderful Tuesday! :)

I'm so afraid to buy mums. I usually kill all real plants. Maybe I'll try. Yours looks so darn good. I agree that the goose need ribbon. But, I think ALL things need ribbon. :-)

Your porch looks great! The only fall item I have out is my mums! *smiles* I mean yes you can see my wreath. Doesn't that count? I have got to get on the ball and get something out there.

I think a fallish bow would be wonderful on the neck!

Where did you find that fantastic pumpkin? Do you know if it's some special variety, or just a pumpkin gone wild? Looks very "fallish"; it's so hot here, it 's hard to get into the fall decorating spirit.

I am hoping to do mine in a couple of weeks when I am a bit richer with $$ :)

Enjoy your fall decorations!

Hi Darlene, your front porch looks fantastic. Wish I could come over for some ice tea. wow it looks sooooo great! I love that pumpkin. You know you can save the seeds and plant them next year and have a bunch of 'unusual' looking ones. They are like relatives, they multiply!!! That wheelbarrow is giving me some 'great' ideas. I know I have some at home....woohoo.

We had some nasty carpet on our front porch and ripped it up, too. We haven't been able to get the stuff off that they stuck it down with so my porch looks like poo! It has, like, three layers of paint, plus the nasty glue stuff. What are you going to do with yours?

Can't wait to see a picture of the full-blown mums!

Darlene,

Your porch looks wonderful! I hope to pick up some pumpkins this week. I did find some cute grapevine pumpkins at Target over the weekend.

BTW, I love your BOO that you blinged. Chloe liked it too.

Darlene...the button is one for everyone to take. I can't even remember who I got it from now. And I'm worried about her too. I sure wish she could get to a computer and let us know how she is doing.

Awww, you have me wanting to get out and do something at my house now! I love mums and I always pick mine like the way you did, too...get a longer show that way!

I love my hamper, it was kind of pricey but worth it in my opinion...especially, the way our hallway is...anyone who comes over can see it...so I was so glad the day we got rid of our tattered old wicker basket hamper and got this nice one. I wish we could have gotten a bigger one, but really, I (yes I, lol, grumble...) empty it out every morning and that seems to work out just fine.

Thanks for the well wishes, I hope this is the first and last cold of the season in our house!

Bella :)

Your porch looks so cozy and ready for fall! Love your Boo bling:) And your pumpkin man that is by your scarecrow...I so wanted him. I went to Hobby Lobby twice, once today to buy him and talked myself out of it. I hated to spend more money and thought I could somehow make my own with what I already have. I'm jealous:)
