I Have Cherrylicious Adoration!!!

I just knew that title would get your attention and most of you know exactly who I am talking about. Well, Mrs. Cherrylicious of Cherry's Jubilee creates the most amazing things. I always look forward to her posts because I know I will just LOVE whatever it is. You all have seen her adorable pumpkin man by now or if you haven't look here. I decided to copy flatter her by making a scarecrow man. Well, what do you think? I think he is wonderful and was so much fun to do.....you know the pumpkin man is next......lol

See the crow in his hat?
Here is the next thing I thought I needed to copy....errr flatter her with. Remember this post right here?
Here is mine. I didn't water my paint down enough when I went to distress and age it so I ended up kind of doing the whole thing, but overall, I thought it turned out pretty well. You know the pictures make the screw-ups much more obvious than they really are.
Anyway, I just wanted to say thank you Cherry for all of the wonderful projects you do and share with us. You inspire me every time I look at your beautiful blog.

Those decorations you made are great. I like them both. I'll have to check out the "original" version! I love all the things that you make and share even if you are "honoring" the first person who created it.

Have a wonderful day!

take care,
Dawn

Nice job on your ScareCrow and Pumpkin.

I was wondering if you had personally heard from Shelia since IKE. I have yet to find anyone who has...and there has not been one bit of IKE-talk in her blog posts, leading me to think the last 2 posts were "pre-posted".

Have a blessed day...

Darlene, copying or not, you've done a great job! And even though you got the idea from someone else, YOU still made it with your own two hands, so it's still YOUR creation! I'm sure Mrs. Cherry is flattered!

Great job! I love your little scarecrow guy. I think it's great to copy people's ideas...it's flattering! After all, why else would they have posted the idea in the first place? :)

Your scarecrow man is so cute. I might need to copy that if I didn't still have 50 new crafts to make.

Love the pumpkin too. Did your hubby cut that out for you or did you buy it?

You did a GREAT job. I love the scarecrow. Please tell me how you do the strike through in your words when you are posting. (I'm computer/blogging illiterate) Thank you so much.

I love both projects!!! You did such a great job. And I'm so impressed that unlike me you actually MAKE THEM instead of just saving them to a "someday" file!!!

Hey Darlene, you are too funny. Okay, so the Cricut machine is a die cut machine. I got it for my birthday last year. It is in the scrapbook section at HobLob or Michaels. It is kind of pricey, thus why I got it for my bday. You can cut words, shapes, etc. out of paper or vinyl. The Boo letters are out of vinyl, and the bat is out of scrapbook paper. I actually downloaded a program off of the internet where you can use all the true type fonts from your computer rather than buying font cartridges for the Cricut. Check out this website to see what it is...

I love him!!! It turned out sooo great. You did a great job. I love variations, and you know it is like brainstorming when you see one idea and it creates several more!!! Love your ideas. I tell you I have had so many more ideas since I started blogging, I lay in bed at night thinking of ideas!!! It is all good and alot of fun, because we get to share our ideas with each other!!!

Oh my goodness! I LOVE your scarecrow man! He is SO cute, and you did a fantastic job on it! I also really like the pumpkin...Cherry does wonderfully crafty things, and you rank right up there with her! :)

Oh, and about the popcorn ceilings, if you lived here, I truly would "pop" (ha!) over and help you get rid of it! It is really, really easy, just messy! :)
My advice would be to start with a smaller room first and work up! :) Thanks for your encouraging comment regarding our house! :)

Darlene, here I am visiting late at night again. My cousin leaves on Sunday and I will be able to get back on a day schedule for visiting. I love your crafts. Very clever and they turned out cute. I will have to look into Cherry's blog.

I will miss my cousin but with my knee healing I can't keep up with her. Energy is her middle name and shopping is her quest in life. lol.

Hugs...jeanne
