Thrifting Fun...

I stopped by my little thrift store the other day, the one I call "Junque" and here are my finds......
Pretty plates and crystal candle holders....these are to make some more "homemade" cloches.
I think the pattern is so pretty and delicate and will be beautiful under a cloche with some shells or summery items. Look at all of these!!! I think I will probably paint one more black and the rest will probably be white (you know already thinking ahead). And I just fell in love with the Welcome sign.
Here is a close up of the sign. It has been put away until after all the holidays. Now the Welcome sign was a little pricey for that store but I still only paid $4.23 for everything. I'll take a bargain like that any day!

Hi Darlene,
I always enjoy reading about your thrifty finds!

The little welcome sign is cute...couldn't have been too much since your total was so low.

It's funny though once you start going to thrift stores and garage sales, you think twice about paying a dollar or two when you remember getting something neat for 50 cents! LOL

Wonderful little floral plates, and the sign is great! Looks like if you got tired of it as-is you could take off the vine stuff and redecorate it.

Man! Your thrift store has the best prices!! I can't beleive you got all that for such a low price. Our Goodwill is overpriced, but the Salvation Army is very reasonable. Problem is the SA is so tiny and never has anything. Can't wait to see your newest cloches. :o)

I pick up clear plates of any kind to add to my collection. They are great for showers and parties. There are some great candlesticks there. I am already looking forward to the BIG October garage sale weekend here. Jackie

I wish I had a decent thrift store. The one I had enjoyed going to is closing...boo hoo. I might try Salvation Army and Goodwill again. Didn't have much luck there to begin with.

Wow! YOU have been a busy gal! I love those tresures you rescued from the thrift store--good job! I wished we lived close to the scene of that consignment sale. My g.daughter could've used some of those wonderful items. Oh, how sweet to see Lexi get her first pointe shoes! I remember the day my daughter got hers, too! What fun! I'm crazy getting ready for another sale on Sat. I hope to get photos out on this one--it's outside in a ladies' yard that is wonderful! I think the weather is supposed to be beautiful! Take care!
