Can You Stand More Halloween Stuff?

I saw these great "book" pumpkins that Wendy made here and Carrie made here and knew I had to get at least one made. So simple and I think they are just adorable.

I also saw on some one's blog (forgive me because I can't remember who) where there were lights in a bottle. I found this bottle and actually an old milk bottle at the antique/thrift store and just put the lights down into it. This is just in a little space right by my fridge. The other one (not shown) is in my kitchen window. They look fabulous at night. This first picture is with the flash and the second is without. I will definitely be doing this at Christmas with white/clear lights. I also saw some green bottles that I might get.....I think that would look really neat.

Last are my pumpkin people. I just think they are so cute and their faces light up. This first picture is with my flash and the second is without (sorry it is blurry, but you get the idea).

Oh, and by the way, ignore any dust you might have seen cause you know I couldn't put Twilight down and I have now started New Moon......

I remember something about those book things. People use to do something like Christmas trees with them..I remember my mother did them years and years ago...I'll have to ask her about them.

Your decorations look great!

Good morning, Darlene! Everything is just too cute! I saw a book "done" in the shape of a vase in a magazine a couple of months ago. ...might have been Real Simple, but not sure! Anyhow, LOVE your pumpkin one! ~Rhonda :)

I remember when I was a child we used to fold the pages down of the TV Guide (when they were smaller and fuller!) and made Christmas trees. I love how the paperback pumpkins look!! What a great idea.

I also like the lights in the old milk jar. That looks very nice as well!!!

I love looking at your pictures. You could post your decorations every day as far as I'm concerned.

take care,
Dawn

One of the good things about Halloween is that dust looks like you're decorating. It seems to fit.

I love the lights in the bottle! That would work great for any holiday or occasion, I bet. Even as a nightlight for a kid's room. The pumpkin people are super cute as well!

Great decorations! If you're like me, it seems you get everything looking just right and then it's time to take it all down for the next holiday. Luckily, we can keep all of the pumpkins up until Thanksgiving.

We used to make Christmas trees with Reader's Digest magazines that were folded to look pointed at the top and spray painted green. I love the lights in a bottle, you must love to have that on in the evenings.

I am almost finished with Breaking Dawn, the last book. I'm trying to drag it out a bit so it lasts longer. It's been such great series to read!

I want to read Twilight. I've heard good things about it and that it's an easy read. Give me your thoughts please.

Hi Darlene~
Your book pumpkins are so cute; I think they turned out wonderfully! :) Oh, and the lights in the jar are great; they look so pretty all lit up! I think I'll have to "borrow" that idea! And you're right, it would look just as nice with Christmas lights!

Your pumpkin people are adorable, as well! I just love things that light up, don't you?

Well, enjoy your new book; I have heard that one is great as well! Have a great night! :)

Darlene! Thanks for coming back and giving me your thoughts on that book. I'm going to head out this week and get it. My two teen girls have read it and they both are "counting down" the days to the movie. They said it was good, and my teacher friend said it was good. You make 4 out of 4 who like it so I'll get it. :0)
Thanks again!
