A Frickin' Elephant!

This is an e-mail joke I received today and loved it!!
Hooked on Phonics:

The five-year old students are learning to read.
Yesterday, one of them pointed at a picture in a zoo book and said, 'Look at this! It's a frickin' elephant!'I took a deep breath, then asked...'What did you call it? It's a frickin' elephant! It says so on the picture!'
And so it does...

' A f r i c a n Elephant '
Hooked on phonics! Ain't it wonderful?
Now that's funny, I don't care who you are!..hehehe

Don't forget to go here and enter my giveaway....I'll announce the winner on Thursday!

Hysterical...there are a few words that my children say that I have to ask them to repeat like 5 times before I get what they are saying. My nephew was learning how to rhyme when he was about 3 or 4. So he's over there going...luck, buck, stuck, f... and then bucket, f...et. He had no clue what he was saying and my sister-in-law had to tell him to try to not rhyme that ending with "f"'s, since he was just working through the alphabet in his mind. Kids are a crack up

That is SOOOO cute. I just love the things kids say.

Once my son was reading a list of cities and he said 'Chick a go'. We said that is not a city. He insisted the book said that. I look and it said Chicago...we still laugh about that.

Yes, as one who is teaching my daughter to read, I can LOL at this one. I have yet to post this, but I do believe you have inspired me since I picked up Diary of Anne Frank as our Family Night movie (studying American History) and my daughter called my hubby and said "dad, we are watching a movie called "the diarrhea of Anne Frank." Yep- she was sincere as can be, and didn't have a clue poor phonic deprivied thing.
