Put~zing and Cooking....

I just had to use Ramona's word put~zing.....isn't it the perfect word? I felt like it was, for this post. I was just put~zing around the house the other day and decided to try my hand at painting on fabric. Ramona does this beautifully, and in a prior post (somewhere back along the way) she said all you had to do was put Textile Medium in your paint and paint away. So, I went and bought a bottle of that, along with a 99 cent bandana, and here is what I ended up with.
I thought it turned out pretty well. This was all free-handed. I just decided to paint some pumpkins. Not bad for a day of put~zing....cha cha cha (that is another one of her words I just love). So, what do you think of them?
Another blog I enjoy is Made With Love and Glue.....doesn't that just say it all?!? Anyway, Rachel had posted a meatloaf recipe her family loves, and with our weather very chilly right now, we just had to try it. Guess what.....it is DELICIOUS. Go here and try it for yourself. Oh, and I absolutely could not capture the picture of the meatloaf the way she did....when you see her picture you are gonna go ~ ooh la la ~ I must try it!!! Promise....now go see.....
Hope every one has a fabulous, fun weekend!!

Darlene I am sooo impressed. Your pumpkins turned out great. Don't ask what would happen if I tried anything free-hand.

I love meatloaf and it's a true cool-weather Fall recipe. I'll have to try it too.

Have a great weekend!

Good Morning Miz Darlene,
I'm on my way out the door to work this wet morning but I just had to comment on how adorable I think your pumpkins are! Wowser, you did those free hand??? What a fantastic job, you're very talented with the paint brush. Can't wait to see what else you decide to try your hand at painting *smiles* Have a wonderfully blessed weekend and I'll check out the meatloaf hopefully tomorrow when I've more time.

Morning Darelene,
Very good job on the pumpkins, you are quite the artist! I remember seeing Rachel's post on the meatloaf, I need to check it out again so I can give the recipe a try.

Good Morning Darlene ~
Oh my good golly...your pumpkins turned out wonderfully...is'nt it fun!?! You are a great artist! And imagine the all the cloth in the world that needs to be painted! You will never look at fabric the same again and not think of what could be done with a bit of paint...cha, cha, cha!

That meatloaf looks so delicious...I think I am making that for dinner tonight and there is nothing as comforting as the smell of a meatloaf baking in the oven.

Happy Friday My Blogging Pal...

Sue said...

Love your pumpkins...but I was wrong in my post today when I said I would try anything...not painting freehanded. I can paint by number and that's as far as my art talent goes!LOL The meatloaf looks delicious and I will have it on my menu next week. My son-in-law loves meatloaf so I'll invite them over.

I usually say the word "puttering" as in I was puttering around the house all day. Used the same way as put-zing I think. Love the way the pumpkins came out. The meatloaf looks yummy! Have a wonderful Friday. We are going to be carving pumpkins as an activity at work today.

I wish I could hand paint. I barely can draw a stick figure. I love what you did. By the way, my hubby will be building a coop this Sunday (sounds like what you do on a day of rest right?). We found a space effective coop design in a Natural Health Magazine, so he's going to fashion it after that. We'll see though...I tried to play tough saying that when he's gone on business who's going to feed them???? But I know darn well who will :-)
Take care.

Your painting looks so cute! I love it! I bought a couple canvases on sale at Hobby Lobby and so far I've only gotten a base coat on the 6"x6" one. I'm still waiting for an idea to strike me before I go any further. It's my first time trying my hand at painting on a canvas so we'll see how it goes! Ha! That meatloaf does look yummy!

Wow girl, Free hand? Amazing-I see you have been hiding this talent from us ~ BUT not anymore-The secret is out, Darlene IS an artist!!!!!!
Funny thing is I cannot paint~Yes, my mother is a wonderful artist but this talent skipped a generation and bonked my daughter right on the head! My husband doesn't even like me to paint walls! LOL!
Have a great weekend, I just LOVE you pumpkins!
