What a great hubby you have! Wow it most be nice walking around in a t-shirt in the middle of Nov. Its cold here!
What a sweetie he is to get things started. And how nice that he could be out there in shirtsleeves up on the roof instead of bundled up and freezing!
Man, what a great husband to get the Christmas lights up for you!! That is definitely something on my hubby's "honey do list". I still can't believe that Christmas is right around the corner!!Congrats on your neat award!!Be sure to drop by my blog today...it's my 100th post giveaway!! Have a good one!!
That's great! We were palnning to start too, but the wind was ridiculous over the weekend! Congrats on your pretty award!
What a lucky gal you are to have a young hunk to hang your Christmas lights!
Good Morning Miz Darlene,What kind of training program do you have him on that he just went on auto pilot and started working on your decorations? I need to get my hubby into that program! Lucky lucky lady! Although I will give mine credit cause the power went out on Friday for about 4 hours due to high winds and since he couldn't play his WoW game instead he fixed various broken crafty things that I had left on his workbench...Imagine my surprise when I got home and saw his handiwork *smiles*Y'all must be having nice weather for him to be in shirtsleeves. And congratulations on your award!!! You definitely deserve it.
Way to go!!! An award and Christmas lights. You just cant top that for a days work. My husband loves all of the Christmas decor but is not much help on putting things out. Oh how I wish he was. I would have my rooftop singing~
Isn't he sweet? Either that or he just doesn't want you naggin' him later.;) (Smart man.)
What a smart, sweet hubby! He looks so happy doing it too. What a man :) Congrats on the award too.
Your hubby is amazing for jumping up on the roof and decorating before the bad weather possibly strikes. I love decorating for Christmas and love seeing other homes decorated too. Make sure you post pictures of the after in the dark. :)
Oh wow! How sweet! We actually saw Christmas lights up and on last night while we out driving around! It's soooooooo hard to believe that we're doing this again! Seems like we just packed it all away! Congrats on your award!
Darlene, I howled when I read about your sweet hubby and his cheesy chin! You should do a post about that! I read it to my hubby! We both got a good chuckle about it...speaky of Mr. Cheesy Chin....I wish he would come put my lights up for me! My hubby can't bring himself to 'do lights' so I hoist myself up on the ladder! Not pretty! Have a blessed day!Debbie
What a good man!! And you should be getting started early-Thanksgiving is late this year. I noticed in town they had put up the Christmas decorations the day after Halloween.Elise
I need to get my hubby up and doing this also...wow he did good. Congrats on the award....I also agree...I sent a thank you for helping me with my page the other day. I was so glad you were there to my rescue.
Hi Darlene~Happy Monday! :) I hope you had a good weekend! I think that's great that your husband got a head start on the lights! (That's what my husband does every Friday after Thankgiving. It's one job I wouldn't want to do!) Also, congratulations on your award; I haven't seen that one before! :)I am going to check out that blog! Have a great day! :)
OK... How sweet is that!! I know you were excited!!! How was the craft show Saturday?
I can barely wait to start decorating the house for Christmas!!!! Marsh and I like to dedicate an entire day to it. I think it will have to happen sooner rather than later this year!P.S. I started my Etsy shop! There isn't much on it right now, as I need to gte myself in gear and make lots of stuff for the holidays, but come and take a gander when you have some time! I also take specific requests!
Awesome! We are doing the outside the Sunday after Thanksgiving.
It's so darn cold out here that there is no way my husband could be on the roof in a tshirt!!! I'll just be happy to not freeze my hiney off while putting up my garland:) That might be all that gets hung outside!
Darlene!!!! Thanks so much for the ♥ tip!!! My life will never be the same. I'm going to be ♥ing all over the place☺
What a great hubby! I can't even convince mine to drag the decorations boxes out of storage!! I can't wait to get started decorating.-Heather:)
Good for you on the head start!Congrats on the award too...
Yay for Christmas lights! My hubby does NOT like the idea of putting them up, so we don't. That's ok, though, cause he gets to help me decorate the inside of the house! Ha!
Aaaw what a sweetie...be sure & take a night picture so we can applaud all his hard work! And congrats on your award... ;-) Bo
Okay I'm a little jealous. My hubby would never be early on something like that. If I ask he will do it within a few days. But not to be askes, unreal. What a nice guy!!

Congratulations on your award and on having a husband who will do that without asking! :)Carrie
Hi DarleneWhat a nice hubby you have climbing way up there to start on the lights. Thats great. I guess that is officially the start of decorating...what a lovely looking day.Hope you have a good evening.Judi
What a nice hubby! We need to get our christmas lights up too! Congrats on your award
There were a lot of people putting up their Christmas lights around here over the weekend. I think it is VERY smart to do it now, before all that snow and ice hits. Then I think people should totally leave it all up until spring. You can keep them turned off. It's just not worth breaking your neck to take them down.
No way would my husband do that! Especially without a lot of prodding. Mine helps me put the wreaths on the window, etc. and that's about as much as I can expect. He does get out the boxes and boxes of decorations without complaint and always helps to get the treeupl.Gretchen
Yay for your Hubby, Darlene!! You must have him very well trained!! LOL(How did you do it?)Congrats on your award!!
Thanks for the visit to see my tablescape, Darlene. Hope you're having a marvelous day!Be a sweetie,Shelia :)
Wow. He officially wins the 'great husband' award this week. What a sweetie!
Hey Darlene! I wish my hubby would put up the lights. I usually tackle this task every year myself. O'well he wouldn't do it right anyway. Glad you have some help! :-)
Whoo Hoo! Nothing beats a headstart.. : ) I can't wait to the movie..but I am dreading the next day.. We won't get in til after 3:30 and I have to get up at 6:30 for work the next day..
Could you send that guy to MO to help put some lights up for me?Congrats on your award! Dana
Hi Darlene,Congratulations on your award...and on the job your husband is doing with the lights! He sounds like a sweetheart!
Sweet hubby....glad you're getting a jump on things!
Darlene, what a great hubby you have to start the decorating project while you were gone. No bribery involved? LOLGinger
HOly cow and you didn't have to ask him too? You got a keeper darlene.....lucky duck. Would you mind adding to my feedback at etsy for the bird box. Trying to get my score higher. Glad you liked it. cherry
Hey Darlene! Oh man am I jealous! We should have tackled this when my hubby was home 1 1/2 weeks ago in mid 60's temps. He's away again and there is NO WAY I'm doing outside lights! It has gotten too cold here anyway. Oh well. Maybe next year! Can't wait to see a nighttime pic of his hard work! Hugs, Les
Wow! My hubby isn't so much the light hanger :0)
