Lucy, Plug and Fan Love....

The update on Lucy is that she did just fine with her spay surgery. This was yesterday when I brought her home. She was exhausted (you know all those barking dogs don't let you get any sleep) and cuddled right up on the couch with a blanket. While she was under the anesthesia, she also had to have four of her baby teeth pulled that had not fallen out.
This was later on during the day.....she had to chew a while on her bone. This was in between napping on and off all day long. Thanks for all the well wishes for my little pup during her surgery. I know it is a routine procedure, but it still just scares me to death till I hear she did fine.
Can you love plugs??? YES you can. Wednesday morning we had electricians come and install four new plugs. This one is on the half wall when you first come in our home. Next to it is a little bench. Now I can put a small table there with a table lamp of some sort on it. I am too excited!
Here is another one on the wall by my little bill desk......something can now light up on that desk too....*squeal* Can you detect the joy in my writing? The other two are outside under the eaves so hubby has an easier time with the Christmas lights.....yes, I can hear him squealing (does a man squeal??) for joy over those!!
Last but not least, you either LOVE ceiling fans or hate them. We LOVE them. This is a beautiful new one....our old one died and we went out to find a new one. That was HARD! This is in our living area and we wanted just the perfect one. Finally found it and LOVE it!!

Good Morning Miz Darlene,
Dare I think I'm the first to comment?!?! I'm so thankful your little Lucy came thru her surgery fine and is back home with you! We do love our pets *smiles* They are a part of our family.

I love ceiling fans and I think your new one is lovely. I bet it looks just beautiful in your living room. And I know you're thrilled about the plugs ins! How can a decorating diva live without plugs everywhere she needs them?!?! *smiles*

Have a wonderfully blessed day my friend!!!

I'm glad to hear Lucy is doing fine and for the plugs you can never have enough of them! we only have 1 outside and for the fans I love them too! They help push the hot air from the woodstove around the house!

I'm so happy to hear that Lucy made it through her surgery just fine...and I do understand how worrisome it can be.

I love plugs, too! In fact, I need more of them! Of course, with us moving in another year or so, I don't feel like messing with it. Your ceiling fan looks really nice!

Woo hoo...the weekend is almost here!! Have a good one! :)

Your sweet doggie looks like she'll be her happy self soon.

Yes, I love plugs too--all over the place. When we built this house, we paid extra to have them put in the outside overhang for Christmas lights.

I have ceiling fans in my house and enjoy them.

Hi Darlene, So glad to hear that Lucy did well. She looks fine in her picture. I can definitely understand your love for plugs! Not having one where you need one is such a frustration. Enjoy all the new possiblities that they bring!

I am also a lover of ceiling fans. Here in the South they are essential! Yours looks very nice!

I'm glad to read that Lucy is doing ok. She looks like she needed rest and the comfort of home.

I grew up in an old house. There were very few electrical outlets. I know the joy of having plenty now. Yay, for you!!!!

I do like the fan. It's very pretty.

take care,
Dawn

That's a lot of surgery for a little pup. Glad she's doing fine.

Yes most people would change out ceiling fans for something impractical and cute. I too need my ceiling fans as they get a lot of use around here.

I am glad Lucy is doing well! Got to have those ceiling fans!

Having extra outlets is soooo nice! Love your fan.
Thanks for the good thoughts, prayers, and wishes concerning my hubby's heart surgery. They mean a lot.

Good morning Darlene:) Glad to hear your little girl is recovering so nicely. It always made me nervous to have one of our puts put under.
And can we love plugs?! Heck, yes. I'm trying to talk hubby into having his uncle come out and put more in. I got the eyeball roll. He doesn't love plugs;)
I cannot live without ceiling fans in the bedrooms. They help circulate the air and make the warmer months more tolerable.
Oh, and wanted to let you know I finally got my first Twilight book last night:) Hope I like it as well as you!!!

Poor baby. It breaks my heart to have to get that done to a fur baby. I am so sad for them for a few days.

If you will and don't mind, will you email me how much it cost per plug to get them installed? In need some. DH keeps talking me out of it... But I need some plugs around here. DH built this house when he was a 30 yo still living with his parents bachelor. Little style and bachelor pad imagination. When he started thinking where he wanted to trim the corners... plugs. Counter top plugs.... But I have plenty of plugs around a bay window because he wanted one for every Christmas candlelier. That bay window faces the back yard.

That ceiling fan is beautiful! We have them in most of the rooms here and use them almost year around.

How did I miss that Lucy was having surgery? Well, I'm glad she did well. We are always nervous getting dogs fixed because we had one of our Shelties fixed and while he was in "recovery" he died from anesthetic heart failure. Absolutely broke our hearts. But we've since had another dog fixed and he did great. We are approaching the time when Jonathan is old enough to get him fixed as well. I know all three of us will be very nervous when that day comes.

As far as plugs go, you can NEVER have too many!

And that fan is beautiful! I recently broke the chain off of one of our ancient fans in the dining area and prayed that that meant we would get a new one...no such luck...My Sweet Husband found a repair kit. Oh, well. spending $6 is much better than spending $150 I guess! : )

I think every room needs like 15 plugs! They make me happy too....It is hard to pick out stuff these days....there are too many choices...

So glad the puppy came through with no problems.
As for the plugs - I was just discussing this problem w/. hubby the other day. I have several little places that need electricity.
Honestly, men & their planning. Don't they know we like lamps??
Glad you now have yours.

So glad to hear that your pup is doing well. We all worry about things like that, don't we?

And yes, I would be excited about new plugs!

And we LOVE our ceiling fans! They may not be the most fashionable thigns in the world, but I could not sleep without one! We use our's all year long!

Have a great day!

Aww..sweet little puppy...it's so stressful on those little house dogs to be left in those kennels with all those big barking dogs...I know you are both glad to be home...

You can never have enough plugs in a house, can you?

I love ceiling fans too...can do w/o them...that's a great one:)

I'm glad your dog came out well from the surgery. The toy poodle reminds me of Greg's parents' dog, Daisey - she's such a sweetie!

And yes, I love plugs too! When you have them at the right spot and enough, it sure makes life easier.

I'm so happy that Lucy did well!

I know how you feel about plugs...My dad is an electrician and my husband also dabbles in it.
I've asked a few times for a new plug somewhere -Like outside by my window for a Christmas tree and also ask for cable TV plugs in different places. I can't tell you how many times my husband has climbed into the attic just to get me a "plug" somewhere I need it!
I think it is great Darlene that the little things in life are important to you. I feel the same way. ~♥

Even if someone hated ceiling fans, they couldn't hate yours! It is beautiful. I hope Lucy continues to feel good! You are a good mommy to her : ).

It is funny how you appreciate something like that...when you do without. I am equally appreciative of my refrigerator! Hahaha.
Blessings,

So happy that Lucy is feeling ok. Poor little thing. But I can tell her mommy is taking good care of her.

Thanks for the nice remarks on my post today. But I think the people who take the dogs in are the real heros. I just drive them to their new homes.

I guess it takes a village to save a dog or cat from the pound though as many people were involved in these 11 dogs that's for sure.

Hugs,
Joanne

I love having electical outlets where I need them too! Your ceiling fan looks great. I have one in my room we couldn't live without in the summeer!

Yes!! You can love plugs! We lived in a very old house just after we were married. The was no plug in the bathroom and very few plugs throughout the house.

Thank you for the recipe idea. That does sound delicious and would def. spice things up around here. I make something called King Ranch too. With chicken and rotel. The recipe is here http://www.texmex.net/Rotel/kingckic.htm My hubby loves it.

Glad to hear Lucy is fine.

I can totally understand how outlets in the wall can make your day! I would be the same way if we added a few outlets in our house in strategic spots! Yippee for you!

I really need an electrician, did he cost much? I've always wanted a plug in under the eves for C-mas lights. It makes life so much easier.

I'm glad Lucy came out of surgery alright. I remember when my Lucy was fixed. She was so sleepy from the medicine. What a big change that was. Usually she is so hyper.

tardevil said...

Glad Lucy is doing fine. She looks so sweet and tired. The ceiling fan looks nice. I need to find one for my bonus room. You reminded me that I need to call the electrician about a few of my own projects! LOL!

So glad your precious pooch is up and around. It is scary even when it's something simple. And I'm laughing at the squealing over new plugs...YES you can love stuff that makes life so much more convenient!!!

Ahh Lucy, I have that same rug, I actually have about five of them from big to small. I love that pattern.

Nichole said...

I've never heard them called plugs before (we call them outlets) but yes I do think you can love them! The placement and lack of outlets in our apartment often annoys me.

And, I think ceiling fans are just too functional to hate. Especially now that they are making prettier ones. Love yours :o)

Nichole said...

Replying to your comment: I just thought maybe that (plugs) is what you guys called them there. I thought maybe it was like the soda vs. pop debate ;o)

Evening, Darlene! I'm so glad little Lucy is okay after her little surgery. I know exactly how you feel...these are our little fuzzy children and we love them.
I am so excited you got some new plugs! Yes! You sure can love plugs!!
Take care of you, your family and little Lucy!!
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

Ohhh, I love me some plugs! I would love to have some more around my house but I don't see that happening anytime soon.

I am SO glad that Lucy came out just fine.

Now about the fan, I am green with envy that you have yours up. We have one still boxed up sitting in our bedroom for, oh, about a year now. I have tried to get my hubby to put it up....no such luck. I am very tempted to call someone and put it up while he is out of town....hmmmm, just might do that.
