Rearranging for Thanksgiving....

Well, the Halloween decorations are now gone and I have added a few more scarecrow people and rearranged things to go to Thanksgiving.

The scarecrow people family finally have a place to hang out.
This is now the space on top of my hutch in the living area. I LOVE the huge painted pumpkin that says Thanks Giving Blessings.
I'll show you a few more areas tomorrow.

Good Morning Miz Darlene,
You are on the ball! I love your scarecrow family, they are so cute! And of course your apothecary jars look great. The tin with the pumpkins on it? Did you paint that yourself? So cute, I love tins *smiles*

Looks good Darlene! I have mostly just Fall decorations out, so not too much to change, but I do have some pilgrims I need to get out this week to add to my decor. Hard to believe we're in the countdown to Thanksgiving!

My pumpkins and scarcrows are still on the porch! Guess I'll have to get busy this weekend. LOL

Your Thanksgiving changes look fabulous!

It looks nice. I packed away all of the Halloween this week and left up the things that look Halloweeny! I'll have to pull down the Thanksgiving too.

I just love how the decorations flow into the next holiday. You always have such nice things to share. I love scarecrows.

take care,
Dawn

Ummm, everything is looking great...I will leave out my pumpkins, add a pretty, paper turkey somewhere and I'll be ready for Thanksgiving...actually, I am just bitting at the bit to start my CHRISTMAS decorating but...I will hold off until the day after Thanksgiving....give the turkey HIS day11 lol

Many thanks for the tip on the chalkboard...I can hardly wait to start it. My frame is hugh...and it is a burnished gold color...I have so much black in my room, I may leave it gold for awhile and just see...love, bj

Hi Darlene!

I hadn't stopped by in awhile and was happy I did! I really enjoyed your Thanksgiving decorations...I posted some of ours and learned that most people don't even own Thanskgiving decor...one secret is to turn your jack-o-lantern decorations around so then you can have a nice grouping of pumpkins that last through Thanksgiving!
:-)

Thanks for sharing your darling decor!

Happy November! :-)

Looks great. I haven't really gotten started on much for Thanksgiving yet. Hopefully that will change. My parents are in the process of moving and there will be alot to do to get their house ready for our Thanksgiving feast.

Evening, Darlene. I'm getting around a little late tonight. Been gone all day! Oh, I just love all your precious little scarecrow people! Those jars with 'things' in them on top of your bookcases are great!
How neat about your dad! Mr. Precious' gggrandfater owned the area that's a housing development now called Sienna Plantation. He had a huge sugar mill.

I need to put something cool above my kitchen cabinets. Do you have any good ideas?

Shelia said...

Hi Darlene! Yep, that wallpaper can be a pain. It goes out of style, then here it comes back again. I can put it up, but it's a little hard because I'm so short!!

You are so good with decorating, Darlene. I wonder where you store all your stuff. Does it take up tons of room or does most of your stuff do double duty?
