Can the Snowmen Stay?

Well, I have taken all of my Christmas decorations down but I thought I might leave up my snowmen (a winter scene?) through January in this one area. Here is what I have done right now.

This primitive snowman lights up....you all know by now that I LOVE things that light up!
I got all three of these snowmen as presents this year. Aren't they adorable?
Here is my Winter Queen again.
I also received this snow covered church from hubby, Alan and LOVE it. Does it look way to much like Christmas to leave out?
Now here is my question. You won't hurt my feelings so be honest. Does this display look too Christmas-y? Should I remove the church? I still have those two tall glittered snowmen that could go in its' place. Should this snowmen display stay or go? Help please........

Oh yeah gotta stay!!! I think it all looks great...I just wish it would be cold down my way, if it was up at my house it would MELT! So hot in Georgia for snowmen! Maybe those snowmen will help send me some cooler weather...

I like the idea of keeping the snowmen and church up. It's kinda making a snow village.

You know what Darlene...I vote to leave it just like you have it! I wish in a way, I could leave Christmas out all year...but then it wouldn't be special like it is now...Happy New Year! ;-) Bo

Good Morning Miz Darlene,
I love it! This is exactly what I've been wanting to do in my dining room (most seasonally decorated room). I think you have to leave the church... the church is beautiful and it's snowcovered so it's totally winter themed. Plus it goes nicely with your too cute snowmen. The church has to stay is my vote *smiles*

I say that it is your house...decorate like YOU want to. I think it looks great...the trees look like they have snow....not green Christmas trees!

I say everything stays! Very wintery for January, before you change everything to hearts for February. Love it all!

A wintery church and snowmen are fine for winter decor. I keep a few of my snowmen out too.

In my opinion, I say let it stay! It's too pretty to take down just yet. Enjoy it while you can!

Well, you know what I'm going to say...STAY! It's pretty much exactly what I'm going to do with my stuff.

The church is a little holidayish but I'd leave it up anyway, it's SO pretty.

I really love your Snow Queen, I don't know how I missed her before.

Did your husband get an A+ at the school because Gary absolutely did : ). You just gotta love them, right?

Oh Darlene, They need to stay! I love them and if I lived where it snowed a lot I would keep mine up all winter! Today it is going to be in the 60s, gorgeous blue skys outside....you never know from one day to the next around east Tennessee! Nancy

I love the snowmen!!! If the stores can put out Christmas decorations in December we should be able to leave ours out for as long as we want!!!! I say don't move a thing!

I might even leave some snowmen up. What a great idea you have.
take care,
Dawn

Keep it! I know lots of people that keep wintery decorations out. I keep my Christmas centerpieces out through January. Plus those snowmen are so adorable. I would have a hard time putting them away. :-)

I love your Snowman collection Darlene. I collect Snowmen too and keep a few "special" ones out through January :-)

The snowmen should stay, stay, stay! How else will you brighten up the month of January?

I couldn't help but notice that your husband is enabling you in your collecting. You should totally save this evidence and bring it up the next time he hassles you about all your stuff. :)

Nope - leave it all up! I don't even put snowmen up until I take Christmas down and snowmen stay up until January is over. Let it snow!! PAM

I vote leave it up also. Love the church your hubby bought you. It is just beautiful. I would want to enjoy it for awhile before it is put away.

Have fun w/your snowmen. We usually make snowflakes to decorate with in Jan.

Your snowmen are so cute and your decor charming. Leave them and enjoy the warmth and cheer inside:)
We got 16-21 inches of snow just on Christmas day! The plows finally found our street this morning:)

Happy New Years!

I agree with some of the others...it's what makes you happy! If the church makes you happy, keep it out! I'm trying to decide if I want to keep my snowmen out till late January, too. You inspire me to let them stay put! : )

Hey...as long as it's winter...I think the snowmen are perfect! And you have such a beautiful collection it would be a shame to put them away so soon!

Hi Darlene:
I have the same dilemma with my Christmas village. I got 2 new buildings for Christmas and I hate to pack them away already. Last year I left them up a couple of months and then decided it looked too Christmasy (is that a word?) so I packed them away.

I love your snowmen and like decorating with them for the same reason.

Happy New Year!!!

I leave out snowmen stuff until Feb 1st (w/out them there wouldn't be much of a winter heer in Texas ;o)). I don't use anything that is Christmas themed or red though as I don't do red in my everyday decor.

I didn't even put out my snowmen this year...reserving them for after Christmas. They'll be out & posted in about a week.

I can't remember if I ever got by here to thank you for your comment a couple of weeks ago. If I didn't I apologize...things have been really busy. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas & New Year...nice to meet you!

Hi Darlene,
I normally keep my snowmen out through January also, but this year we are going to be painting and I didn't want them to get yucky with paint overspray. I think it is great.
Happy New Year,
Kim
