Nutcracker Tassels.....

When my parents came here for Thanksgiving my mom brought three Nutcrackers, that she bought from the Nutcracker Market in Houston, and she wanted them made into tassels. Here is what I made (click on the pictures to enlarge them).
One is red, one is silver and the last is gold.
This gold one is a bit wild with the colors, but I still thought it turned out cute.

Darlene, these are super! They turned out beautifully. I'm jealous because I'm not creative in that way. Are you familiar with The Nester? She makes beautiful tassels too. She has a blog where she shares all of her awesome, creative ideas. It's at: http://nestingplacenc.blogspot.com/

I commented over at Lemon Annie's blog that I loved those apothecary jars and the tassels. I stopped by your blog for the first time and saw that both of them came from you! I'll visit again - happy holidays!

Wonderful job in "tasseling up" the nutcrackers. I checked out other posts on your blog and love all your painting projects. The candy in the apothecary jars are really cute too.

Hi Darlene
Your Nutcracker Tassels are fantastic. You are so clever. I really love them.
I just read on April's blog that you are following Stella's travels. Other people have mentioned too that they would like her to visit. I am planning some scheduled visits for her next year so everyone who wants to have her visit can take part. I am sure she would love to visit with you in Oklahoma.
Merry Christmas

Darlene the nutcracker tassels are so sweet. What a good idea, and they look so festive hanging there. I have made tassels and they aren't as hard as you might think.

You should receive your Christmas tree ornament tomorrow. Hope it arrives safe.
