What Goes Up.....

must come down and get packed away. I got everything packed away on Saturday with a little help from Midnight.

As you can see she had to check out each and every box and bag that was brought inside. We finally packed her away and will see her next Christmas!! Just kidding, though we couldn't find her for awhile. She was buried under the tree skirt, in the box fast asleep.

You're ahead of me here Darlene! Good for you for getting it all done. I hope to start today.

You do read about cats that get packed in suitcases and sent on trips now and then, and it's easy to see why, isn't it? They snuggle into the smallest spaces and just seem to disappear!

Ugh! We are taking ours down on New Year's Eve day. I hate that part of it!

Midnight is too cute! Our Princess kitty is the box inspector in our house. She has to inspect everyone that comes into the house. Our Simba kitty could care less about any of the boxes. Don't you just love kittys? They are so entertaining!

Good Morning Miz Darlene,
You are amazing! I haven't even started on mine yet. I did take my alpines and village off my sideboard and that's as far as I got. I've been promised New Year's Eve and Day off by the boss so I'm hopeful I can tackle the project then otherwise I won't have a chance till after store inventory *sigh*

Isn't it funny how curious kittens are? They sure add a whole new dimension to every single thing you do around your home! Our Indy sure is growing fast, like your Midnight, and he loves checking out the inside of shopping bags *smiles* just like your Midnight.
I wonder if they are long lost siblings? Have a wonderful week my friend!

I am so ready to get our stuff down I can hardly stand it. That's our plan for today - can I borrow Midnight?

Darlen, I'm back--if Midnight is in heat, she's old enough to be spayed I would think. There's nothing louder than a kitty in the mood for love--Yikes!

She like to burrow, just like a dachshund does! Maybe she's part dog!

I have a little "helper" like yours. You are ahead of me also. I can't stand to take it down with hubby home and he is off until the 5th! Aye Caramba!

Love the new look on your blog! Doesn't it feel good to get it all put away? Luckily, I didn't have much set out, so the put away should go quickly. Happy New Year!

Hi Darlene,

Midnight just cracks me up! I love to see all of her "hiding" places...the tree was the best!

Would you believe that our tree came down on Christmas Day? Yes, you heard me! The reason being is that we left for South Carolina the day after Christmas and that was the last thing I wanted to face when we got home. It was so refreshing not to have to worry about it.

Have a wonderful day, my friend! If you're still interested in getting Stella after Daphine has her, just let her know. I would have gladly sent her to you if I hadn't already asked Daphine when you mentioned your interest. Sorry about that! :(

She is into everything! That is hilarious! I boxed away everything yesterday and it was very refreshing.

You are ahead of me. Midnight is so funny! I like to wait a little longer because it is still the 12 days of Christmas for me. Since we don't have a real tree, it is not as urgent as it would be with a dried out tree. So you maybe might get Stella? I hope I do too. It has been following her adventures.

Girl you put me to shame! I can't get started! Maybe on New Year's Day!

That is the cutest cat!

Wow! You're fast! I like to leave my decorations up through New Year's Eve but I'll be doing the same thing next weekend.

The picture of Lexi in front of your tree in the previous post is darling! She's such a pretty girl!

I finally got that giveaway up for you to win. ha ha! Come on over and enter again when you have a chance. I think you already have a couple entries but you know...you need to keep your streak going.

I took all the decorations down Friday...I so enjoy putting it out...but putting it away..not so much fun!

Don't you just love the Wii..we were sore like that last year (esp. the boxing) this year the kids got Rock Band to go with it...it's lots of fun too!

Glad your Christmas was wonderful!

Mine are down to. I didn't have a cute helper like Midnight though.

I'm so sad that Christmas is over! I just hate to see all my decorations come down. I'll probably stretch it out until the weekend for just a little more fun!

We always leave out Christmas decorations up 'til after the New Year. But then they must come down. I didn't put out much this year so it will be easier than normal. Yea! It's kinda sad how quick it goes. But on an up note....I received my first Spring seed catalog! I am so excited.

Hi Darlene...I'm usually packed up by now too, but I've been sick with a vicious cold & haven't even started yet...maybe if I had a helper like Midnight.... LOL

Good for you! You're way ahead of me, as I don't usually take my decorations down until the first or second week of January.

Many sweet blessings!

Darlene, I am so jealous that you have Christmas packed up. I know Midnight helped you every step of the way. How does your poodle feel about midnight? lol.

Thanks for sharing your blue and your sweet cat.

That midnight is such a hoot! I have all of my Christmas put away. Ahhh. The house feels so clean after Christmas. A little plain but nice!

Wish mine was ALL packed up and put away. I have one of my trees down so far...but it is the biggest one! I told my hubby I didn't think I'd put up as many trees next year......but I probably will!

Wow!! Your decor is already packed up. You are a rock star. I haven't even started, but I must admit, I get the blues when Christmas is over. It is best to just put it all away as soon as possible. LOL.... Happy New Year!!!

Darlene...we simply had a good chuckle here...as these pics are so reminiscent of our Ms Boog Padawan...she is such a nosy busy body! LOL We have been very wary about tossing out any trash or boxes...or even closing up storage bins, unless we know where she is!

What a riot these babies can become! But we love them don't we?

Jill Scott said...

You are so on top of things. I haven't put my stuff away. I think I'm waiting for New Year's Day.

I still have to take the stuff down. I am not looking forward to it : ) at all!

I haven't even attempted to do that yet. It's such a big undertaking and I'm not ready for it. I admire you for doing it though!!

take care,
Dawn

I love your posts about Midnight. Her antics are hilarious and your commentary makes it even better! We can't have a kitten here due to allergies. This is the next best thing! I can't wait to watch her grow over this year! Happy New Year!
