Some of My Digital Scrapbook Pages

Doesn't this just capture childhood fun? My daughter asked if she could play in the waterhose and the next thing we knew our neighbor's little boy was over playing with her. These two act like brother and sister. They both had so much fun that afternoon.
This was when Lexi's class led their school's monthly "Celebration Assembly". It is a monthy assembly where there is always a song and performance by a class, several awards are given out, birthday's are honored and so forth. They are always a lot of fun.

This was from a Valentine's Party in her second grade classroom. Nuff said on that.

This was a visit to our local Pumpkin Patch. It is a neat place. They have a feeding zoo, hay ride, lots of pumpkins to look through (cause you know you have to find the perfect one!), and a maze to get through.

I just recently got some digital scrapbooking software after having a hard time "keeping up" with my homemade pages. I don't have a dedicated space in my home so everytime I wanted to work on scrapbooking pages I had to drag everything out, try to get what I could done, put it all back up, well...... sometimes the inspiration just left me and I was getting further and further behind. I will still do some homemade pages (cause they are just fun to do!) but now I am keeping up with our memories as they happen. I just love it!!

My Fur-Babies

This is Chelsea......she is 14 years old and the most loving "little lady" you could ever want. She is a white toy poodle and weighs approximately 9 pounds. She is just a laid back, sweet girl.

This is Lucy......she is a 5 1/2 month old puppy and is the wildest thing you have ever seen. She likes to play, play, play......did I mention play? Anyway, she is an apricot toy poodle and weighs approximately 7 pounds. She is full of energy and has a great spirit.

This is Tangie.......our cat. She is very independent and likes to rule the house.....though she is finding that much more difficult since the arrival of the puppy.

The Dumping Counter

I am starting on a de-cluttering mission in my home. We have lived here for almost 15 years now and the clutter keeps growing in small areas here and there . This is a small counter in the kitchen where everything seems to get "dumped". If you don't know what to do with it just stick it here. You can't even open the blinds because they are too hard to reach.

Now LOOK (oops sorry I am shouting)......I am giddy with excitement and it feels sooooo good. The only thing on the counter is the basket with dog treats, bones, and chewys. Everything else is in its' proper place whether the trash can, correct room in the house, back to whom it was borrowed from, etc.

Isn't it wonderful!!!!

Yertle the Turtle

Here is a picture of a frequent visitor (for about 2 months now) to our front porch. We have named him/her (not sure which) Yertle. It is funny because you never know when you open our front door if Yertle will be there. We have even had to go out the back door and around to the front and move him because we couldn't get the glass storm door open, he was sitting to close to it...lol. As you can see we feed him a few bites of dog food to go with the bugs he likes to eat. We think he is living in our front flower bed, dug down under a pile of leaves that is still in it. Anyway, we just love seeing Yertle whenever he decides to make an appearance. He is our "wild" little friend.

Snowball, Rocks & Sign

What is a fabulous treat for a hot, summer day??? Why Lexi says it is a grape snowball, of course!!

See those rocks on the corner of the table? Those are Lexi's "special rocks". She will occasionally get out in the rock border and find all kinds of pretty or unique rocks. After a few days they get thrown back into the rock border and she gets to start all over again. Anything to keep her occupied.....even just for a short while :)

And last, we had to kill about a half hour of time this morning and we went into a little boutique store in town and I saw a sign I fell in love with. It said (and to me is sooooo true) Dogs think they are human.....Cats think they are God. I cracked up and asked Lexi if that was true and she said yes that is absolutely true for our home.

Aladdin Play

Today was the final dress rehearsal of Aladdin, the play that Lexi is in. She is in the cast of Aladdin and the parents were invited today to watch and take flash pictures and videos since it is not allowed during the actual performances. They have been practicing since the first of June, Monday through Friday. It was a great show!! They will be performing it Thursday through Sunday this week. By the way, Lexi is in the first row in purple (second from the right).
