Bedtime Stories...

Smiling Sally has invited me to link to Blue Monday with my Bedtime Stories post. Be sure to go and visit everyone and see their Blue Monday posts.

Bedtime Stories
Opened December 25, 2008 Runtime:1 hr. 35 min.
PG
some mild rude humor and mild language

Hotel handyman Skeeter Bronson (Adam Sandler) gets an unexpected surprise when he discovers that the tall tales he's been telling his niece and nephew are somehow coming true. Hoping to take advantage of the mysterious phenomenon, Skeeter spins one outlandish yarn after another, but the children's unexpected contributions to the stories turn Skeeter's life upside down.

We went and saw this on Sunday afternoon. It was a fun movie that our whole family enjoyed. The other bonus was that we saw the movie in a brand new theater. Our new Carmike 8 opened in December and it is SOOOOO wonderful to have a nice state of the art movie theater in town.

Today it is back to school for Lexi. The holidays are officially over and it is back to getting up early and homework. Getting back in the groove is always hard but at the same time kind of nice.

I hope everyone is having a great Monday even if you are having to get back into the school and work groove!

Good Morning Miz Darlene,
I've been on a nonstop crazy train around here as our store inventory is looming on the horizon! I even had to work yesterday counting fabric and ribbons... crazy times indeed. But I wanted to stop by and wish you a wonderfully blessed week and I hope Lexi transitions back into her school routine smoothly.

I know the feeling...I am back to a full week and no off days in the middle...so sad! Let's see what is the next holiday for me...ummm I can't think of one now.

Have not heard of this movie but sure will see about it when it comes on DVD...I usually wait till the movies hit the video store since Lexi is still to small to sit for a few hours. Worst thing is a child disrupting others who pay to see one...I know I don't like it and others surely don't either.

Hi Darlene,
Hope Lexi has a great day! Connor goes back tomorrow, but is home with mom today!

I thought about taking him to see this, but we didn't make it!

The previews looked like it would be a pretty cute movie. Good to know it's not a waste of money...although I'm sure we'll wait till it hits pay per view. Have a great Monday!

I've been wanting to see that. And yep, getting back in the groove here too. Somehow, it felt nice to be up and dressed and on the road with coffee this morning. :)

Hugs,

Both my girls work at movie theatres and my youngest said this is a pretty good movie and much better then the previews even hint at. I think with her review and yours, I am not motivated to take my younger two to see this.
Oh. Can I ask you a question. I see you have toy poodles. I have a standard poodle that we found a year ago. Is there an easy way to brush out their hair in between visits to the groomer. I'm looking for a new groomer as ours moved. Is there a special brush or comb you use? Thanks!

I sent you an invite to my gift blog! I'm so excited!!! :)

We want to see that movie too, it looks cute. I love it now that The son is old enough to enjoy movies in the theater of course, we have to see "kid" movies but I guess that's better than nothing.

Hope you're getting back into the swing of things OK...I'm trying!

Back to school for me too today. A couple of the kids in my class told me that they went to see that movie last week. I like Adam Sandler. I think I'll put it on my list of things to see.

take care,
Dawn

Thanks for the movie review, and Happy Blue Monday to you! I love your snowman. If he goes missing, you'll know he's gone to live in a magpie nest. ;-)

Hi Darlene! Thanks for responding. I'll have to find a comb like that. Yes the ears do get matted easily, don't they?!
I did blog about our "find" Daisy. Here's the link if you want to read about her. This was taken the day I found her, she was so thin and her it looked like her hair had been sheared within the months time. She must have been so cold at nights.

I wondered if that movie was good! Thanks for the movie review!

My son just went back to school today after being off for almost 20 days. The storms before Christmas vacations gave us extra days together! I'm glad everything is returning to "normal" and maybe I can get some organizing done and crafting too!
Have a great week,
Robin~♥

We want to see this movie, too. We went to see "Bolt" last week, and it was really cute!

Since we homeschool, we are actually taking an extra week of holiday. I'm glad, because I'm not feeling well today! Tell Lexi that before she knows it, spring break will be upon her! : )

How nice to get a state of the art movie theater in your town...we are lucky to have heat in ours. lol.
I am glad the holidays are over and things are getting back to normal. It's snowing here today and I am just blogging and looking out at it...too cold to go outside for me.

Hi Darlene

I will look out for Bedtime Stories, it sounds a great film.

That does look like a movie we would enjoy. We don't get many open captioned movies where we live. The younger kiddo is deaf, so we have to have captions or wait for the DVD.

Happy Blue Monday

Hi Darlene, I'd read a review of that movie and it sounded good. I'm glad to get a first-hand report. It sure is hard to get back into a routine after vacation, isn't it?

It's hard when the kids have to go back to school because they are so use to staying up late and sleeping in. Or at least that is the way it is for Logan. I like having him off but it's also good when he goes back so he can do something productive!
