Nothing to Post....

I hope you all had a wonderful New Year's Day. We didn't do anything yesterday. We did eat our black eyed peas with cornbread for good luck, but otherwise, watched movies (nothing special) and played Wii bowling. I couldn't win and Midnight thought I stunk at it. See, here she is laughing at me. Hope you all have a great Friday!

Darlene,

I think we all are having a hard time posting something new and interesting; we definitely had all the Christmas hub bub to post and now...

I'm sure before too long all of us bloggers will get back into the swing of things again.

I have never liked black eyed peas. My step father was from the south and tried to get us to eat them. It never worked LOL!

I still haven't tried the Wii. My friend told me she hurt herself playing the bowling game. I guess she was really getting into it. Timmy has mostly been playing Indiana Jones on his.

I grabbed the Twilight button. Thanks!

take care,
Dawn

We had a quiet New Year's Day too, it felt nice. It's fun to see your two little sweeties cuddled up on the couch together.

We are getting freezing rain today-yuck! Glad I can stay inside.

Good Morning Dawn!
Oh thats so funny..the picture of Midnight and your puppy. Midnight DOES look like he's laughing at you. You'll just have to practise at that bowling so you can beat her!!..*s*.
I'm glad you had a relaxing day. I did too. I didn't do much except put the decorations away. I really enjoyed my tea and sat atching up on blogging. That was really relaxing. It was just one of those days.
I didn't even set foot out...I think it was too cold for that!
Have a great day today.

Hi Darlene, I never heard of Black-eyed peas for good luck on new year's day, must be a southern thing? We had a pork roast because I've always heard pork on NYD was good luck who knows.

I hate to say it but your BEP's didn't give you any luck for my giveaway...I just picked my winners. I truly thought you would win with the streak you've had going. Sorry. I really do appreciate all your sweet comments and the fact that you continue to visit my blog. It's been great "meeting" you in blog world this year too.

Happy New Year...although I think I may have said that already in a previous comment. ;)

That Midnight is a funny kitty! I know you'll be filled with ideas to post about after the holiday craziness calms down! : )

Your kitten is so cute. That's a funny picture. We just got another kitten. I was at the vets and they had this cute little lone kitten. She looked beat up, battle scars on her. They told me she had been livin' with big dogs and gave as much as she got. I felt sorry for this little bitty kitty! She kept swattin' at my little yorkie and Sadie kept waggin' her tail so I thought Sadie would enjoy a playmate. Sadie and the kitten are more the same size so I think the kitten will stand a better chance. Since she is Sadie's kitty we named her Skitty. Love her already. And she is so darn ornery. It must have somethin' to do with her bein' all black. Have a great day.

It's a vicious cycle, isn't it? You can't win so you keep wanting to play again so you can win, dang it.

Hey Darlene:) I've missed you!! I've never known anyone else to have black eyed peas on New Years! I can't remember what it was, but there was a dish that my grandma made that she used to put a dime in for good luck? Sauerkraut? Have you heard that? I totally forgot all about her doing that years ago! Happy New Year♥♥

I LOVE your Midnight! It is very hard to photograph a black kitty--you always do a great job. My poor Frankie does not fair so well!

I got "Mamma Mia" from my hubby--he bought it using HIS Best Buy gift certificate--that I gave him!! Very confusing, but true!

Leave your comment on my Pink Sat post to enter my 100th Post Giveaway! L, Dana

Good Morning Miz Darlene,
Midnight is too cute! And look at the peace and harmony of those two sharing the sofa together... If only we had such peace in our home with Indy and Miss Sissy! It's a constant kitty-fight here. While Sissy outweighs Indy by atleast 13 pounds she is declawed so I think it all balances out. Indy can be such a terror of a monster kitty one moment and sweet with lots of loving for you the next...such is life with a kitten!

Hi Darlene, we were in Atlanta for two days and now I am sooo behind in my visits. I love your photo of Midnight and Chelesa. Oh, my heart still aches for my Babette. Every day my dh looks up a breeder we know in Georgia and is trying so hard to get me to get another one now. I am trying to wait until the end of this year. We have always had dogs and poodles for the last 26 years. My heart needs a break from heartbreak. Plus we are traveling quite a bit this summer. I want a break from worrying about a furball.

Have a wonderful Sunday...Jeanne
