Two Organized Cabinets.....

Many of us get in the organizing and de-cluttering mode after New Year's. I was wanting to organize a couple of cabinets but had been too lazy. Well, the two "ice" days we just had gave me the perfect time to get them done. I know it really is embarrassing but this was the "stash" cabinet. If something was up top and we needed to hide it, this is where it went! Look at nosy Lucy....she wanted to know what we were getting ready to do!
This cabinet is to the right of the other one without any divider in the middle. Not as bad but still everything just a jumble.
Ahhhh, much better. I now have lids with all my containers. I have told Alan and Lexi that this is how it is going to stay! Excuse my yucky shelf liner but I wasn't going to drive in the ice to get some.
Here is the second cabinet....much better! It feels so wonderful to have cabinets clean and organized. Now, on to the next one........
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. Oh, and if you enlarge the picture and look in the basket of cookbooks you see that I have two of one of them. Guess what that is for???? A giveaway next week sometime....WOOHOO!

Wow! You have been busy and gained a lot of space in those cabinets. It looks great and doesn't it feel good? I should have taken a hint from you and done the same thing while iced in. I just cooked and ate. Lucy is such a helper. Is Lexi ready to get back to school?

You did a good job! I have several cabinets and drawers to clean out. I used to have a set of brown soup crocks like you but I never used them. Now, I wish I had them back!

When the ice melts I am giving you an open invitation to leave her and come work on mine ☺

take care,
Dawn

Great job on organizing your shelves! Doesn't it always make you feel so much better when you get to enjoy the fruits of your labor? I did the same thing yesterday with my bathroom drawers, pantry, and fridge. I feel like a million bucks...well, maybe ten bucks is more like it! :P:!

Looking good - I need to do that to my whole house.
It's a daunting task and I don't know where to start so I'll just keep blogging for a little while longer.
Have a great Friday.

Good Morning Miz Darlene,
Be still my heart! There's something about an organized cuboard that really gets to me *smiles* Don't you just love opening it & seeing all the beautiful neatness/goodness? I know that's something I enjoy in my home albeit temporarily *smiles* And I spent probably 2 weeks debating the merits of various shelf liner patterns before choosing one. Then I lined every single cabinet with it using an exacto blade to trim it making sure the pattern lined up properly. OCD, gotta love it *smiles* You've had a busy 2 days and the results are fab!

I wish I had been so productive! I have several cabinets and a couple of drawers that need attention. I feel like I just ran around trying to do damage control. It is hard to be stuck inside with two little ones. They are very creative in the mess-making department!

Have a great Friday!

There must be a cabinet fever going on. Maybe it's cabin fever with a twist? Greg and I just recently emptied out all of the kitchen cabinets to reorganize what we wanted to keep and boxed up what we figured would be good for a garage sale!

Busier than me Darlene...wanna come fix mine up also...hehehe...I am planning on doing some pantry cleaning this weekend...you see the key word (planning) doesn't always mean I will succeed in the process.

I see those cookbooks...you know I collect cookbooks...I think that would be a good thing for me to blog about next week and show pics of my books.

Hope your weekend is ice free...so you can ramble some! I would love to be couped up a few days with the family.

Would you like to come out and do mine when you are done? I use all my things and very little of hubbies. He had cupboards full when we got married and does not understand why I don't need all his too when I moved all of what I am use to with me.

I keep sneaking boxes out to the garage. lol

Looking forward to your giveaway! dana
