2nd Time Around Tuesday - A Terrarium

Today is 2nd Time Around Tuesday that Diane of A Picture is Worth a 1,000 Words hosts each Tuesday. Be sure to go visit for more great finds!
You can post most anything...things from an antique store, garage sale, estate sale, thrift store, flea market....just use your imagination! Or maybe you have something that you inherited or was given to you-we would love to see that too!

I decided to join today because last weekend my parents were in town and one afternoon my Mom and I went to my favorite little Antique/Thrift store. This caught my eye instantly. It is a beautiful terrarium that is quite large measuring approx. 16 inches wide by 18 inches tall and 12 inches deep. The price was $25.00, I LOVE it and the cats can't get to the real plant growing inside.

Hope you all have a wonderful Tuesday.

Good Morning Darlene ~ If you wake one morn and find this treasure missing...you will be able to find it here in Oregon...I love it. Don't you just love finding something that you love and you didn't have to pay an arm and a leg? Great find! Great post!

That is a nice find. The hardest part for me, would be keeping the plant alive!

I would have to have one of these to have inside plants, too. My cats are plant killers for sure. :)

Looks great! I love a bargain find too and thrift/junk stores are my fave. I have cats and no live plants! The nest and bird in it are adorable.

Hello Darlene, good job finding something the cats can't get into. Lol. It is a lovely terrarium as well.
They seem to be easy to take care of too. Very little water. I rally do not know very much about them other than loving plants in any container.

Have a great day. I am just past the three weeks and feeling much better. Thank you so much for thinking about me. Next is therapy outside of home. I have a wonderful therapy group who are really good. Lucky me.

Hugs...Jeanne

Is it Tuesday already? :)

Hey Darlene, It's me...Your long lost blog friend/sister...
Thanks for stopping by my blog and letting me know you are thinking about me~♥
Noelle is doing MUCH better and is getting quite the personality.
I am spending more time with her and less time blogging because I know that she and my daughter won't be staying with me forever and I want to take advantage of every minute I have with them (hence why my blog is suffering) :)
I am starting a book club this week on my blog though...Our first book will be "The Host"
Kimberly, Lori and I have already bought a copy and we will all start reading it for the month of March then have somebody in the club pick the next book for April... It should be fun. I'm hoping things do mellow out even a little more over here so I can blog more -I still have lots of ideas in my brain I want to share!

Love your Terrarium!
Thanks for being so sweet!
Robin~♥

What a great idea for pet owners. I can't have potted plants because little paws tear them up, but I never considered a terrarium. Finally, something catproof!

Hi Darlene
What a great find! Good thing you got there before someone else scooped it up. Wow. I love it. The little nest in there is so cute....

AND you got your Wisteria order already too as well. I would have ordered those also. One day I too will find a cloche. Your birds are all so lovely and aren't you so good to give your mom one also.

have a lovely day
Judi

Hi Darlene...looks like a wonderful find. I love the bird and nest in it...and how great to have a place for a plant that the cat can't get to! During the winter, I shower with my house plants! The bathroom is the only place I can hide anything from my Calico Rosie.
Thanks for sharing...it's lovely.
Blessings, Susie

Darlene- Thank you so much for your purchase, Sweetie! You bought it just in time as I JUST e-mailed a customer who is "over the moon" for it! I am so happy that I can send it your way! Thank you, thank you, thank you, my sweet friend! Lori

That is SO cool! I saw some of these for sale in a home decor shop, but the price tags made sweat break out on my forehead. As soon as I can find some moss to scrape off a rock, I'm going to try it too! :)
