Midnight Madness...

I have been asked by several of you how Midnight is doing. She is doing great and getting big. She has now been spayed and declawed, has healed and back to her kitten ways. She is now approximately 6 months old.
The TV amuses her and she watches it intently (she is sitting on our coffee table).
This is a "boingy" toy that my mom gave Midnight for Christmas. She enjoys playing with it and occasionally we catch Tangie batting it around too.
She LOVES getting under and sleeping under blankets. I wonder if she had ever felt a soft blanket on that cold, cold night when we found her?
Midnight and Lucy are the best of friends. They play hard! At times I feel like I am going to pull my hair out with them racing around and jumping all around on things. After all the playing they are almost always curled up somewhere together for a nap.
Midnight also loves sitting in this magazine basket.
Just the other day I heard some rustling around and went to see what she was in to......this is what I found.
She also still gives Tangie grief. Tangie is not the friendliest cat anyway and we weren't sure what she was going to do with the kitten. She mostly just ignores her unless Midnight jumps on her or is in her space as in this picture. I guarantee Tangie is growling at her.
Midnight has definitely gotten into all of our hearts. She loves to lay in our laps and purrs away. Even with her wild kitten antics she is definitely a keeper!

What a delightful cat! She sure is active. I'm glad she has Lucy to play with. Wonder if Tangie will come around? I bet she and Nicky could have some fun after he got over being afraid of her. Thanks so much for sharing these pictures of your sweetie.

Hope you have a good day. It is suppose to be sunny here. It drizzled all day long yesterday. We got the house cleaned. Boy was I tired.

Love those piercing eyes! I think it's cute that she loves to sleep in blankets...that my Bella to a tee! I always get so tickled at her when she pops her head out for a look around.

How's the clean-up coming along?

There's nothing better than a kitten. It looks like Lucy and Tangie like Midnight. :)

She is adorable. Poor Tangie - she just wants to be left alone (sometimes I can understand that).

Cute pictures.

Good Morning Miz Darlene,
Your pictures of Midnight is like looking at our own little Indy. He's a wild kitty for sure! His newest trick is to climb my windows and hang off my curtain rods! No No Bad Kitty! He seriously needs declawed... Now if only Indy got along with Miss Sissy like your Midnight gets along with your Lucy. It's just one never ending cat-hissy fight here. Your Midnight is one very fortunate fur baby to have such a warm and loving home! And you take some seriously cute kitty pictures! Are you scrapbooking them?

Midnight sounds and looks just like my Boo. Maybe it's just me, but I think there is something special about black cats. Special in a good way. :)

It sounds like Midnight has found the right home. ☺ The pictures are great. I love the one in the blanket.

We are tossing around the idea of a pet. Tim really wants a dog and he can't stop talking about it.

take care,
Dawn

About the flowers, no, the cats don't leave them alone. They have chewed up a leaf or two but they leave the flowers alone. This is why I don't have houseplants. lol

Darlene, I adore your post today. Midnight, Tangie and Lucy are adorable. We are so missing a pet right now. We are trying to be strong and hold off until fall. We have traveling plans this summer. A pet would be a worry.

Does midnight have her own little house? Our Babette would have terrorized anyone (human or otherwise) who came near her crate. LOL.

I am glad you liked our town. I do think it is a special place.

Hugs...Jeanne

Hi Darlene
What cute cute pictures of your babies you've posted. Its so neat that Midnight and your puppy are doing so well together. Its good for them to have company like that. At least Tangie is able to tolerate the new kitty...maybe he just isn't into playing like that anymore. At least they aren't having fights.

Midnight is a very lucky kitty...thank you for sharing. She's beautiful.

I love that picture of Lucy and Midnight! She is sure looking like a grownup kitty these days! It makes me sad when our babies grow up...Jonathan no longer looks like a puppy, he looks more and more like a grown up Golden Retriever. Kiddo says he looks like a teenager. : ) I guess that's what he'd say about Midnight, too.

DARLENE, GIRL YOU MADE MY DAY! I just got my mail and got your card. You have no idea how wonderful it was to get that. I have had such a rough week, my mom is in the hospital and I am so tired from driving to the hospital everyday, I was feeling very blue, she is ok but it was touch and go....and then I got your sweet card! That just got to me! Thank you so much! Good timing.
Blessings,
Debbie

What cute pictures. I think kittens are so darn adorable and full of fun to watch. It's funny how midnight crawls into things.
I have that same exact oak "see thru" like in your last picture. Ours is in the entryway.

Hi Darlene~
I so much love your kitten! She is adorable, and very photogenic! :) So cute that she watches TV, too! I love all the pictures, and think it is so special that your dog Lucy and Midnight play and take their naps together! :) I'm guessing that to be fairly unusual for a dog and cat to do that? It's so sweet! :)

Wow, it's like lookin' at my kitten Skitty. They look alike and the same goes on here with her and our dog, Sadie. They are buds. Sometimes Skitty gets so wild she has to go to time out in the basement.
Thanks for sharin' your 'Midnight Madness'

You know Darlene, it seems like you were just posting that you'd found Midnight and were trying to decide whether to keep her and now she's a part of the family! I'm so glad to see her doing so well and that she and Lucy have become such good friends. Pets add so much to our lives, don't they?

What a sweet kitty! We just rescued 2 and they still don't love us. I am trying to be patient, but DYING to be able to pet and love on them : ).

It is so heartwarming to hear how good a life a "resue" kitty (or any pet) can have. I wish more people would adopt instead of buying from breeders. All animals need love, not just the pedigreed ones! Give Midnight a pet for me!
