A Tornado Hit Our Area Last Night...

Hey everyone.....just wanted to let you know I may be absent for a bit. A tornado hit hard in our area last night. We are fine and were in a storm shelter across the street from our home. No damage to our home but there have been fatalities and they expect many more with the daylight. I am at my office and don't know when power will be restored in my area as many power lines and trees are down. Here is the article and what I know about it at this time. Please keep everyone in this area of Oklahoma in your prayers during this difficult time.

Oh Darlene! I heard that OK had tornadoes last night and I thought of you and some of the other girls blogs that I read. (What is it about girls in Oklahoma who blog? I think there's three of you I really enjoy reading)

Anyway, I'm glad to hear you and your family are OK but saddened to hear about the fatalities. So so, scary.

I'll keep you, your family and your neighbors in my thoughts.

Darlene, really I feel just terrible being so close but so far away. I have room if you need a place to stay. I can bring you anything you need. If they are not letting people into town I can meet you on the interstate.

I'm so glad you're ok. How scary. We just heard that one touched down in Springfield about 11:30 last night. It's path ran by my daughter's house. It didn't hit her house but other homes destroyed but at this point no deaths.
My prayers are with you all.

Darlene, I'm so glad you are okay. I watched the news this morning when I got up to see if bad weather was coming our way. Thankfully, the storm lost a lot of power overnight and the Memphis area didn't get what y'all got.

How is Lexi? I know how my Kiddo would feel after something like that. You will probably have a skittish little girl on your hands next time a storm comes through! I'll be praying for all of you as y'all try to get back to normal.

Dear Darlene,
I'm so glad to hear that you & your family are safe! When I heard the news last night I was very concerned about your safety. I'm praying for those in your community who lost loved ones, homes, & businesses. I know what it's like living through a devastating tornado. We lived in Mannford for 30 years. In 1984 much of the town was destroyed by a tornado that hit the last Sunday morning in April.
I have family that lives in Edmond. The storm hit about 1 mile from their home. I'm thankful they're okay.
Take care!
Hugs,
Carol

He said baseball hailstones also hit the area and caused much damage.
We will pray for you and all involved.

OMG! Darlene I didn't realize you were in Lone Grove. They have been reporting about it all day here in Dallas. So glad to hear that you are okay. We weren't even aware that another one had hit up there until after the storms passed us last night. We saw the one in Edmond, which I guess was nothing compared to the one that hit you all. You all are in our prayers. Stay safe!

Second, I will also be keeping your area in my prayers. Third, I just hate those danged tornadoes! Since we also live in tornado alley, I know all too well about the devastation they can cause.

Be safe. L, dana
