The Shopping Trip....

On Monday my shopping friend went with me to do what we LOVE to do....SHOP! There is a wonderful children's consignment sale (in a previous post here) that we go to in the Spring and then in the Fall. We went to the one in Oklahoma City on Monday and here is what I found for Lexi and several of them still have the new tags on them. She still has a bunch of summer clothes that fit but I always have to get a few more.
I also got all these books that look like ones she will like. I will check to see if they are accelerated reader books, and if they are she will be able to test on them at school. If they aren't they will be summer reading books. Gotta keep her reading whether she likes it or not.
Then we went on to Edmond, Oklahoma to a great children's resale shop called The Children's Orchard. I got a few more things while we were there. I also found out that Stacey from Poofing the Pillows lives in that area. We are going to meet next time I go up there. How exciting!!!
I also bought this Gap dress which is new with tags at the resale shop. I paid the most for it at $14.99 which to me is still a great deal. Lexi LOVES everything and can't wait to start wearing all her "new" summer clothes.
Stay tuned tomorrow for a peek at the seeds Lexi planted. We will see if they are doing anything or if the kit was a waste of money. Have a great Thursday!

The bargains you found are amazing. I'm always impressed when consignment shops have things with original tags left on.

I just love consignment sales Darlene and when my kids were younger I visited them regularly and found some great bargains just like you did. Amazing how many of the clothes have the tags still on them!

Hi girl! I did figure out yesterday that you weren't quite as close to me as I thought...Children's Orchard is over by the mall. I'm about 8 miles from there. Still no big deal next time you are in town! There is a Target, Old Navy, etc. all within 2 or 3 miles of me.

The Children's Orchard has been there forever but I never went. Bummer.

Lexi got a lot of great clothes!!!
My Dad was born in Edmund Ok.

Somewhere there is a little cemetery on a hill and my Dad's infant brother is buried there.

They wrote a story about it in the paper because my grandparent's would travel every year to the little unmarked grave....I believe it is marked now.

He was the first born of 18 children....my Dad was the 2nd oldest and named after his infant brother.

Hope to visit Oklahoma one day... as a lot of my heritage comes from there :)
