She Might Be a Redneck!!!!

It was time to mow this weekend and Lexi begged and begged to mow. Well, hubby didn't let her mow but did let her drive the mower all around. She has now patiently waited each day for Alan to get home and driven the mower all around. She loves it! I think the actual mowing is next on the agenda!!!

Have a great Wednesday!

Cute! Good practice for when she is old enough for a car? Has she got one picked out yet? Have a great Wed.

I say let her practice driving all she can...maybe your nerves won't be as rattled when she gets behind the wheels of a car when she's a teenager! :)

She looks like a real pro!
She's already doing better than most young drivers- she isn't texting or talking on her cell phone! LOL

What a great way to work her into it. Really! She will get used to driving safely then she'll be ready to mow.

And glad to see she has shoes on! Definitely give her that job before the summer ends!

All girls need practice driving a lawn mower. We need to know a little bit about everything.
Enjoy your Wednesday.

Smart thinking. One day, when the grass needs mowing, turn it on.

She'd get along with our Princess just fine. We let her drive the mower around the yard (not actually mowing), and she thought it was great.

I actually enjoy mowing - so she'll have to wait a while before I turn it over to her.

Lexi is the cutest redneck!

I did the exact same thing!! We had 3 acres of land and I begged and begged to ride ours around because we didn't have the money to get a 4 wheeler. I thought it was a nice compromise!

I am laughing as memories come rushing back. Mine was a honda 90!

She would make an dorable gardener and I bet she would mow for free!

Just make sure she isn't by any buildings at first... My grandpa forgot to tell me to miss the barn!

How funny...I just came over from Carrie's 'Redneck Slip and Slide' post. I told her my kiddos did plenty of Redneck activities when they were growing up and those were the best ones!!!
Anyway, Lexi looks right at home on the mower. So cute.
Hey, have you heard from little Stella or received any pix? That would be fun.

Nice...kids do seem to love driving a mower! Better that than a car....right?

Hello Darlene; How tiny she looks on the mower.. lol but she seems to be doing a great job and having fun. This past weekend we had to mow our yard the fist time this year... how nice it was, to not shovel snow.....

I loved to mow, I would let Camo Man watch the kids while I mowed the lawn(that was my quiet time)..The way I learned how to drive was on a tractor in a big field..LOL

Well now, Alan is going to have some competition soon...competition grass mowing. That must be very exciting for her to be able to drive it around.
Hope you have been having a great day

She is just so cute! I loved all her choir pictures too. I want you to know I was reading but slacking on the comments since I had The Husband's lap top for some of my days in FL. I hate typing on that thing but I am back, I did read and I will comment faithfully again!

Maybe if i got one of those my sons would cut our lawn (we had one when we lived in the country)...or maybe i could just put some blades under my sons SUV and get him to drive around...honestly, im the only one who mows in this house

Good Morning Miz Darlene,
Oh how cute Lexi is! I did the same exact thing when I was her age, my Daddy rigged up an old mower just for me to drive around, he took off the blades and put a metal deck on it for me. How many times I drove around the yard daydreaming about my grown up life when I could actually drive. Now I do a lot more driving than I care to *smiles* Have a wonderful Mother's Day weekend!
