Yard Sale Treasures.....

Lexi was my yard sale partner on Friday and Saturday and we had a great time. The weather was gorgeous and there were a lot. These are the books we found for Lexi. They all sound really good and she is excited. Most were .50 with the exception of the Chrissa book. It is an American Girl book that was just published this year....it was $1.00.
I found a couple of the Better Homes & Gardens special publications for .25 each. One of them is from Spring 2009 and the other is Spring 2007.
This large snacks bucket was .50. It still had the original tag on it of $7.99.
Now my favorite finds. I have seen several blogs where people have these fabulous trays and I was wanting one, badly. This is the first one I found and it was $1.00! It is large and fairly heavy and I absolutely LOVE it. I'm not sure if I am going to spray paint it white, bright yellow or aqua. I'll show you when I decide. I still can't quit looking at it!
Then, at our last stop we got out of the car and I spotted this set, the red tin tray, four glasses with cherries on them and the matching carafe. I stood there and looked at it for a bit but really couldn't decide. The price tag was $7.00 which I thought was very reasonable. I looked around a bit more and then went back to it. All of a sudden I hear the lady saying if you want it, it is $1.00!!! SOLD!! I couldn't grab it up quick enough as I was handing Lexi the $1.00 to go pay her. I got it home and the more I look at it, the more I LOVE it. I am so glad I ended up with it.
Here is some up close detail.
Hope you had a wonderful weekend. We did!

Oh, my word!! LOVE that red tray with the glassware. Boy, you hit the jackpot. How much fun! Love all your treasures and you get to spray paint. I'm having spray painting withdrawal pains it's been so long. Well, you sure made a good haul on the yard sales. That is great. We had some excitement with a huge snake and it may still be around. Enjoy today!

Hi Darlene~
I love, love, LOVE the cherries glassware! That was a great find at an amazing price! :) I can't wait to see what color you end up spray painting the tray either! :) I'm so glad you had fun g-saling with your daughter!

I also wanted to tell you that I switched my blog address to nesttokeep.blogspot.com/ because somehow the custom domain address ended up at a different blog site host! (Still working at getting that figured out.) I know it's on your blog roll, and if you were to click on it there now, it would not take you to my blog! Just wanted to let you know, and I hope you have a fantastic Monday! :)

Super Fun Finds!!! Way to go. One of the best ways to spend summer days out of school is to read. So glad you found all these great ones.
hey, did you see the post over at 320 Sycamore about using TJMaxx napkins (one letter monograms) to decoupage on plates? She posted it about a month ago. Good luck with whatever you do. It's gorgeous.

Wow you and Lexi really found some fabulous yard sale treasures!! From the time my daughter was a little girl up until she moved to another city to go to University, Saturday mornings were always spent together going to garage sales :-)It's a great Mum/Daughter morning and I'm sure it will become a tradition for you and Lexi. I loved the photo of little Lucy sitting on her bed on the porch :-) She is adorable!
