Redhawks Ballgame.....

Last Friday, while we were on vacation, we went to the Bricktown area of Oklahoma City and attended a minor league Redhawks baseball game.
This is one of the statues outside of the ballpark.
On the night we went it was Livestrong night. We received a baseball and a yellow Livestrong bracelet. This is Lance Armstrong's Foundation in the fight against cancer. You can see more about it here.
Can you see (the back of) Alan and Lexi in our seats? We were right at the first base corner about 8 rows up. Great seats!
Lots of action and it was a fun game!
Here is the score in the 7th inning. The Redhawks played the Nashville Sounds and were behind until they got tied at 5 to 5. Then the Redhawks went on to win the game 9 to 5. YAY!!
It was the first time we had been and we look forward to going back to some more games. On my next post, I'll show you some more fun pictures from around the ballpark.

Wow! Now that is something my husband and sons would LOVE. Great pictures too. You all had wonderful weather for the vacation.
We got lots of rain. Over an inch and it was the slow steady kind. Loved it!
I've tried to get a pic of the bird in the clothes pin bad. The bag is too high for me to see in and he is on to me. He gets kind of flappy when he gets startled and I sure startled him when I tried for the picture. He is getting heavy and tearing the bag at the top. Don't know how much longer it will hold him. Ha I'd love to send a picture to birds and blooms though. Enjoy this cool wet week.

Darlene, I see where your shirt says Lone Grove - do you know Russell and Nina Noland there. Their son is the Supt of Schools.
Russell and Nina went to church where we go when they lived here.

Back to your post...bst you all did have fun there in Bricktown.

I'm pretty certain my hubby would like that trip, too, Darlene. He plays on two slow pitch leagues during the summer and early fall (over 50 division--he's waaaay of 50!)
Loved your photos from the water park and the play Lexi was in--W. Wonka. I also enjoyed your Thrifty Finds!! Paula Deen is my hero--I have one of her cookbooks and her autobiography, plus assorted magazines of hers.
Our little gr.boy is still doing OK--thank you for your prayers. L, Dana
PS Your header is neat. Are those birds from this year?

Summer is made for baseball. :) We have a semi-pro team in our area now, and those games are so much fun. (when it isn't 100 degrees, that is!)

Looks like fun!! We've been meaning to get to our local ballpark and haven't had the chance yet. I think my girls would get the biggest kick out of it.

Thank you for coming over and actually reading my 10 things. I wasn't sure anyone would read it and thought I'd be hearing crickets. lol!
