Today's Thrifty Treasures.....

Be sure and stop by at Rhoda's Southern Hospitality and see all of the great finds from this week. I stopped at a couple of places and here is a picture of everything. Oh, I forgot to include a baseball bat, a little bigger than what Lexi is using now for $1.00.

I finally found a small little step stool. I can't wait to try my hand at re-covering it! It was $3.00.
A nice cookbook from Paula Deen. A lot of the recipes look pretty simple and delicious. In my quest to cook more at home, I think this will come in quite handy. It was $1.00.
A set of 4 pretty dessert plates. They each have a different picture and are trimmed around the plate in pastel colors. They were in a pretty box with a tag on the bottom from Marshall's originally costing $12.99, my cost was $2.00.
This large wicker basket was $3.00. I have it in the bedroom with a couple of small quilts in it. Love it!
We did one more thing during our vacation fun and I'll show you those pictures on Tuesday. Hope you are having a wonderful day!

A very successful haul Darlene! Have fun re-covering the stool. Cute plates. You could make some lovely buttery dessert from Paula's cookbook to serve on them :0)

Very nice finds, Darlene, Glad you came by the party this week. I see stools sometimes, but don't have a place to put them.

Hi! I stopped by from Rhoda's. I'm loving the awesome photo at the top of your blog. My boyfriend and I ate lunch for our deck today and we had such a fun time watching the hummers at the feeder. We have three hummer feeders around our house!

I love that basket too. What a great place for quilts. Love how you can get baskets for such great prices at thrift stores/garage sales. They are just too expensive at retail.

What a cute stool! Great finds.

I'm so glad you stopped by my blog for a visit. I am having so much fun with this "thrifty" party.

Great finds Darlene, be sure to show us the stool when it's recovered. I found a great dresser for my older daughter Chris and her husband at a yard sale a week ago for only $15 dollars. It was painted an awful green/black/white spatter pattern, but she repainted it black and got new drawer pulls and it looks terrific. I forgot to get a picture before she came and took it away!
