WaterWorks in Denton, Texas.....

The play ended and it was a great success. The kids had their cast swimming party on Sunday and we are now on vacation, and just doing things close to home. On Monday we went to a fun water park. I think I had as much fun as Lexi and the weather was PERFECT! There was a chance of rain, so the temps. were in the high 80's and I would guess there were only about 50 people in the park at any given time......as I said PERFECT!

I decided to go on this slide and it scared me to death!!!! Pitch black and zooming up and down the walls!!!! They knew I was coming down cause they could hear me screaming the whole way!! That was the ONLY time I went on it. I liked the orange slide MUCH better!!!!.....lol

Cruising around in the lazy river. It was sooooo relaxing!

This was the kiddie area. It was really neat with all the splashing, sprinkling and pouring things.
Lexi has been to this water park before, when she went to the YMCA day camp a couple of summers. It was mine and Alan's first time and we loved it. If you live anywhere in the area, I would definitely recommend it.
We have a few more fun things planned for this week and I will be checking in with your blogs as I have time. Hope you are having a great day.

What's the name of the park? My dad lives in the Denton area and this just might be a possibility. Although I'm not a water slide fanatic, I do love a good lazy river ride! :-)

Have a great vacation!

Oh man..I used to love that kind of stuff with our boys. Have a great time! You know, there's a Rainforest Cafe down there. It's worth the wait in line!

That looks like a great way to cool off, Darlene! I went down a big slide in the water park near Pigeon Forge a few years ago, and I thought I would have a heart attack! *LOL* I know everyone for three miles heard me screaming all the way down!

Hi Darlene
Thanks for sharing your great pictures from the waterpark. It looks lots of fun there. I really enjoyed the slides when we went to the water parks in Florida. I wish we had one closer to home.

Don't you love it when it is that cool and you can actually enjoy it out there. Looks like you guys had fun. We haven't been to the one in Denton yet, but we may have to try it. There is also one in The Colony off of 121 called Hawaiian Falls that looks fun. You all should try heading to downtown Dallas and going to the Science Place. Fun for the kids, plus there is also Fossil Rim outside of Ft. Worth. We haven't tried that one yet, but my sister said it was fabulous.

Enjoy the rest of your vacation!!

Good luck with your flowers. I had to transplant mine at the end of last summer. It gets so hot here, the sun really was about to kill them. I moved them to the side of my house and so far this summer they love it there. I find they do better in morning sun and afternoon shade. Hope you have a great one!

Hi Darlene. Looks like you all are having a fun vacation. The weather has been wonderful. Nicky is doing much better. I thank you so much for your kind words and prayers for him. He is just the light of my life and Mike and I spent all day with him yesterday nurturing him. He is sleeping now on the bed next to me. Take care and enjoy the rest of your vacation time.

That looks like so much fun. I recently went on one of those dark slides and yes, it was scary. I'll stay to the ones where you can see...and that's coming from a girl whose favorite ride at Disney is "Tower of Terror."

Hope you're enjoying your vacation!

I forgot to thank you for your name suggestion. My niece is named Amber, so I think it isn't a good idea. I have always loved that name though. Did you ever read the book 'Forever Amber?' a very good book.

Until next time...Jeanne
