Do You Love to Grill?

We do and I think hubby is the king of grilling!!!!! I'll show you his secrets.......
We have probably been grilling 4 to 5 times a week. Hamburgers, pork chops, chicken, brisket.....you name it, we have probably been grilling it. See that little iron smoker?
He puts these wood pellets in it and closes the grill lid to get a bit of a smokey flavor. You pick which one sounds good....there is Mesquite, Oak, Pecan, Apple and Hickory. We get these from Academy but there is a website if you don't have one near. It is www.cajuninjector.com.
Also, before throwing the meat on the grill he seasons it up really well. This is the seasoning we absolutely LOVE! We just stocked up again, so I am showing you some of the different ones we have. There are many more. We also get these at Academy but they also have a website, it is www.fiestaspices.com.

If you love to grill, try it!! You can thank me later!

We love to grill too Darlene and we usually marinate whatever meat we're grilling. I had not heard of the smoker or the seasonings. It's always great to get a recommendation from somebody before trying something new like this. Thanks for passing it on!

Yummy! We do love to grill. Did you see Judi's post on grilled peaches? We do lots of yellow squash and zucchini. Delish. I am going to look for one of those little smokers. We go to Academy--or Mike does--once a week.

Can't wait for the cooler weather. One more day, hopefully.

Thanks for letting us know his secrets.

We are alot like you. We grill year round and pretty often. My hubby has a big ol' honkin smoker too. We give him spices, sauces, etc. for all holidays. It's fun and yummy!

Hi Darlene
You have so many wonderful flavours for your grilling and you need to with so much going on each week. I like grilling too. Marc received as a b'day present this summer one of those little smoke cooker thingies your hubby uses. We will have to use it too. You are making me so darn hungry!!

I will have to show hubby this but he says he is a master griller too...you know how men are...hehehe....

However, I have to agree he does cook meat better than me anyday...He does all his seasons by scratch and I couldn't tell you anything that is in them....

Maybe I need to get this for me and not tell him and sneak it in when he is not home and see what he says after my grilling...

This also gives me an idea about a post...thanks for sharing and I will have to check this stuff out the next time I go to Academny.

Now ya want to send me a piece of that good looking meat on your grill...I didn't bring lunch today and it's about time and I am sure yours is way better than any fast food joint!!!

We are grillers/smokers here too. My hubby has been working such long hours this summer that it hasn't happened much.

Thanks for sharing your hubby's secrets.

Oh one of the best things about summer is having hubby grill up part of the meal. He's not as fancy as your man with all of the flavorings. I may have to let him read this post to give him a hint.

Have I told you lately how much it makes me smile to see a nice note from you? You are such a sweetie! Have a great day my friend.

Thanks for sharing the info on the
wood pellets. My hubby would really enjoy adding this to our grilling.

Hi Darlene
I am going to shock you now, we never grill! Everything is baked in the oven. Not grilled or even fried just baked. Your grilling does look very appealing and the wood chips sound great. There's a first time for everything. Maybe next year we will invest in a grill/barbeque for outside and give it a try.

We LOVE to grill! It is probably one of the things I miss the most when summer ends, but we do try to keep grilling even through the cooler months. I also really love the Michael does the grilling, so I don't have to...and less mess in the kitchen! We'll have to go to Academy and find some of those seasonings! Thanks for sharing!

OMG Darlene !!
We do grill .. call it BBQ, which I know isn't right .. but hey .. we are Canadian after all ? LOL
So that is the secret to more flavor ! .. I wonder if we can get a hold of a product similar to that here ? .. I am going to look into it .. I know I have seen wood chips with that type of seasoning ? in them .. now you have gotten a bee in my bonnet ? LOL .. looks good and probably tastes heavenly : )

Shoot, Darlene. Why should Mr. Precious grill when your dear hubby is grilling so often. We'll just come over! :)
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

I like to grill too, but I'm not very good at it. I think thats a great idea for the "smokers" to add flavor.
Haven't ever heard of Academy. Is it a grocery store?

Mmmm...sounds good! We haven't grilled nearly enough this summer. Hopefully we'll get some more in before the season is over.

Let's put it this way: I love to EAT food that someone else has grilled. Since Johnny HATES to grill, I don't often get the chance to eat any.

omg i bought the same woodchips for our smokers...we have a woodfire smoker and a propane smoker...and a grill as well....the food comes out AMAZING in the woodfire smoker, but is so much easier in the propane smoker...we use our grill to ...well, just grill :-)

Hi Darlene, we were just talking about our grill today. Since we were gone most of the summer, we have not grilled once. I am thrilled to know some hints as my dh is not the best at grilling. I showed him your secrets and he is excited about trying to improve his grilling. Hurray!

Thank you for your many sweet comments about our son's home. They are so proud of it. Both my son and his wife LOVE antiques and I have many more to share. Their home is perfect for their antique collections. I hope I am not boring everyone.

Hugs...Jeanne

OMG, Greg absolutely loves the smokey flavor of meat, that's why I bought a smoker for him. But I prefer the way meat cooks on the grill. Wow. I'll have to tell him about the smoker gadget for the grill! Cool!
