Yummy Taco Soup.....

It has been so rainy and cool here that when Stacey from Poofing the Pillows posted a Taco Soup recipe I knew we had to try it. We had it the other night and it is FABULOUS. Here is the recipe. The only different thing I did was use Fiesta Corn, instead of hominy. Thanks Stacey, it is definitely a keeper that we will enjoy this Fall and Winter.
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend. On Saturday we will be taking Lexi to a jump rope skills/tricks workshop in Newcastle, Oklahoma. I hope to show you some pictures next week. It should be fun.

I made taco soup too. How funny. It sure is good soup weather. It sounds like we may be dry till Monday night. My son made the comment that there are only 2 seasons in OK. Flood and drought. I'm beginning to believe it. Have a great weekend.

I love tacos and so does the whole family so I am printing this recipe out. Suppose to be a rainy weekend and with the fall coming up it would be a great meal for a cool night with some cornbread.

Thanks for sharing Darlene....sorry I have been MIA lately, I have missed reading your blog. Have a great weekend...oh yeah love that tablecloth?...Isn't it the one you got awhile back. So cute!

Yum! I'm loving these cooler temperatures, but I'm getting a little grumpy from all the clouds. I'm pretty sure we've only seen the sun twice this week. It does make me want to hunker down and...eat. :)

I am actually planning on the chicken version of that tonight with dinner! :-)

Darlene -

I just LOVE your site. Your Lexi is the same age as my Mackensie. So it's been fun "lurking" on your site. You are one of the first I visit just about every day.

That's the same recipe I use (got it from Tina at Cherry Hill Cottage). It's our favorite winter soup! I make it in the crockpot usually so it's perfect for a busy Saturday!

Good Morning Miz Darlene,
Taco soup is the best! I was introduced to it at a scrapbook retreat a few years ago and made it for my family. They love it, even The Boy who is very picky. Yours looks wonderful!

Oooo, this DOES sound good. Thanks for passing it on!
Lexi looks adorable in the cheerleading pics below. How fun that she got to be the Leader that day. I was a cheerleader in the 8th grade and had SO MUCH FUN too. : )
Wish I could still kick like that!
Take care,
M.L.
