LG is the initials of her school so she is a LG Superhero in the fight against drugs. She is also all in black and white, her school colors. She was extremely hyper and excited this morning thinking she looked so fun and cute.....lol
Oh, and one more thing, she did make straight A's on her report card she brought home yesterday...YAY. She had a couple of low A's on her progress report so I thought they might slide down to B's but she kept the A's. I hope you all are having a great Thursday!

I made several samples for Lexi before she got home from school one day and she loved it. They were made from oversize popsicle sticks and foam shapes. The Twilight ones were a little more complicated and I mod podged the paper onto the sticks for her, but she did most of the rest. I helped with some of the writing on the sticks. We had a great time and created 60 magnets.
Here is an up close look. We glittered some of them. We tried to make magnets that boys and girls would like. Also, some were up and down and some were sideways.
Here are the Twilight themed ones.

Combine 1 package beef Rice-A-Roni with 1 pound ground beef and 1 egg, beaten. Shape into small meatballs (approx. 20). Brown on all sides in skillet. In another bowl combine contents of beef seasoning packet with 2 1/2 cups hot water. After meatballs are browned, pour over meat and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 30 minutes. Enjoy! Hope you all have a wonderful weekend. I know a lot of ours will be spent catching up on the school work from the past week.

Well, first off we have been playing a LOT of this game. She loves it! I found out a couple of the main symptoms of H1N1 are headache and low grade temperature, so yesterday when she again had 99.7 I decided she needed to go in to the Doctor. They did the nasal swab and it came up negative, but since there has been a large percentage of false readings when flu is actually there, (and she has the symptoms) they put her on Tamiflu. She also popped up yesterday morning with a flimy sounding cough so she has cough syrup too. If we can get the fever kicked the Doctor has given us a note that she can go back to school on Thursday. The biggest upset for Lexi was that she had to miss their last cross country meet yesterday afternoon. It had been re-scheduled from a rain out and here she is now sick and can't run. The funny thing was that yesterday morning she was pretty sure she could run the race. NO Lexi you can't. She found out she definitely was not up to par though after the long Dr.'s office wait and then going to get her prescriptions (about 3 hours all total).

I also purchased two Halloween pendants from Mary Lou at House of Whimsy. These are just so cute! I wore the Halloween face yesterday, and had several compliments on it. Thanks so much Mary Lou!
Both of these ladies also have wonderful blogs that you will enjoy. Stop by and say hi to them. Hope you all have a great weekend.

Yum, it looks good doesn't it!
It was fabulous and we had left-overs for several days. Try it you will like it!
Lexi had another cross country meet. It was on Monday (so she had to miss dance) and it had been re-scheduled from a rain out. It was almost rained out again. The course was wet, muddy and very slippery but they had them go ahead and run.
Here she is coming in on the final stretch.....the finish line is approximately 50 yards away. Can you see the mud?
Can you tell what place she came in?
Yep, third place (out of 34 runners). A 6th grader came in 1st place and she was actually 2nd place out of the 5th graders and again 1st place from her school! YAY Lexi!
Since the conditions were worse, their times were worse, but Lexi's time was still 7 minutes 21 seconds. Here is the ticker tape with her time.
Hope you are all having a wonderful day. Fall break for Lexi is Thursday and Friday. We aren't doing anything special, but she is just glad to be out of school for two days.

Thank goodness the games were already running late or she would not have gotten there in time to play in the first game.
Lexi is not playing on a team this fall because it conflicts with her dance night. The fall games are double headers on Monday nights and that is when her dance practice is. The coach called and asked if she could play in the tournament because as you all know Lexi is good at what she does (I'm not bragging it is just the truth....lol).
The coach had her play in several positions but mostly in "her" spot of first base.

Not too much has been going on this week. It seems like we have had a lot of homework and studying for tests, that we have helped Lexi with. The good news is that on her progress report she has straight A's....way to go Lexi. We will see if she still has that when she gets her actual report card. Here is my concrete goose with her holiday bow and a couple of pumpkins. These big pumpkins were at our little store in town for $4.50 each....cheaper than Wal-mart's $4.99 pumpkins. I need some more, but this is a start.

I couldn't find her the other day but saw that my towel closet was open a bit. When I opened it, guess who I found. These towels on the bottom are rags so it didn't matter that she had found a "nest".
Top of the fridge, one of her favorite places.
Hope you are all having a wonderful day today.♥

There she is right in the center of the picture.
Run Lexi, push it!!!!!!!
She did GREAT! She came in 5th place out of 47. She was actually 2nd place out of the 5th grade runners and from her school she was in 1st place!
Here is a little bit of the posting board. Her time for the one mile race was 6 minutes 52 seconds. Way to go Lexi!!!
I will be attending a funeral this morning, but I will try to be around to visit this afternoon. Hope you all have a wonderful day.
