Autumn Slam Tournament in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma

We had a very busy day with Lexi on Saturday. First off, she cheered at the 5th grade football game. It was really cold and windy and here she is with her tights and long sleeved shirt under her cheer outfit. The game started at 10:00 a.m. and unfortunately our boys lost....boooooo. After that she had to change and get to Pauls Valley for some tournament ball.
Thank goodness the games were already running late or she would not have gotten there in time to play in the first game.
Lexi is not playing on a team this fall because it conflicts with her dance night. The fall games are double headers on Monday nights and that is when her dance practice is. The coach called and asked if she could play in the tournament because as you all know Lexi is good at what she does (I'm not bragging it is just the
The coach had her play in several positions but mostly in "her" spot of first base.

She was layered in clothes trying to stay warm. We also had extra jackets and blankets to put over them while they were in the dugout.

The girls did GREAT and ended up playing six...yes, you heard that right, SIX games in the tournament. Their team came in 2nd place. What a fabulous job they all did! I ended up coming back home to feed our animals and let them out (we had no clue it would last as long as it did). Lexi and her daddy didn't get home until 11:30 p.m. Lexi fell asleep in the truck on the way home. She was exhausted.
Hope everyone is having a great Monday.

Wow! 6 games is a lot. At least it was dry. It drizzled here. Lexi is a great athlete and a talented young lady. I know you are enjoying all her activities. Have fun.

That many games...poor children...and poor parents sitting that long. I bet Lexi was really tired after that long day.

Enjoy the week.

Oh how I wish I had Lexi's energy! She's the energizer bunny!
She looked cute in her cheerleader outfit AND her baseball outfit. I've told you I understand how Lexi is good at everything, I have a son (Timmy) who is just like her...Acutually my husband is like that too! It's a wonderful trait to be blessed with!

Hey I added a note to my blog today (for everyone) and wanted also to tell you, you could use artificial pumpkins you might already have and use a wooden crate or box instead of the antique wheel barrow.

What a long day Darlene. I'm so glad the team did so well. Lexi does enjoy athletics of all kinds,it's fun to see her in all of her different uniforms. I think the cold weather you got has come to NC today. Not only is it very cold, but it's raining--worst combination of weather in my opinion. I want to stay inside with a cup of tea and a good book!
