Cross Country Meet.....

Yesterday afternoon was Lexi's first Cross Country meet of the season. Her category was 5th and 6th grade girls. She is a 5th grader. Here they are starting off. She is in the front in the grey top/black shorts to the right of the center. There were 47 girls in her race.
There she is right in the center of the picture.
Run Lexi, push it!!!!!!!
She did GREAT! She came in 5th place out of 47. She was actually 2nd place out of the 5th grade runners and from her school she was in 1st place!
Here is a little bit of the posting board. Her time for the one mile race was 6 minutes 52 seconds. Way to go Lexi!!!
I will be attending a funeral this morning, but I will try to be around to visit this afternoon. Hope you all have a wonderful day.

I am sooo excited for Lexi, Darlene! Just look at her stride and her form...WOW! She definitely looks like she's been a runner for years! She did GREAT! Awesome time! If she stays with it until she reaches high school, she'll be one of the top runners, if not the TOP DOG!

Good Morning Miz Darlene,
I sure feel like a stranger coming to visit, it's been forever since I've had a chance to comment. I hope you can forgive me *smiles* Look at Lexi! I am so proud of her, she is such a beautiful spirited girl who really puts herself out there, taking chances, learning, participating, I think she's just amazing. I know you couldn't be prouder of her *smiles* She is so talented and what a blessing for her to discover these talents while young so she can enjoy them over a lifetime. I wish you a wonderfully blessed weekend *smiles*

Good for Lexi!

Funerals are so sad, but if the person is in Heaven, there's a bit of hope.
