Outdoor and Random stuff....

Want a muffin on this rainy, cold morning? I have apple cinnamon or banana. YUM!
Not too much has been going on this week. It seems like we have had a lot of homework and studying for tests, that we have helped Lexi with. The good news is that on her progress report she has straight A's....way to go Lexi. We will see if she still has that when she gets her actual report card. Here is my concrete goose with her holiday bow and a couple of pumpkins. These big pumpkins were at our little store in town for $4.50 each....cheaper than Wal-mart's $4.99 pumpkins. I need some more, but this is a start.

Yep, Fall is definitely here.....the leaves are starting to take over the yard and walks. We have so many trees that if we try to keep them picked up we have to constantly work at it. Not so fun!
This weekend, besides her normal Saturday morning cheerleading, Lexi is supposed to play in tournament softball in the Pauls Valley area (for my Okie friends that read). With all the rain, we will see if it ends up getting cancelled. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

It is pouring right now. But maybe the game will be played. Lexi is so smart! Good going. Being so busy and getting good grades too means lots of hard work that she has put in. Enjoy the weekend.

It's been kind of a quiet week here too Darlene. Your muffins are perfect for a rainy day. I sure hope Lexi's tournament doesn't get rained out this weekend.

Congrats on the straight A's.
We don't have many leaves falling yet but they are starting to change color a little - yay!
Enjoy your weekend.

I think I saw heavy rains around Paul's Valley on the news last night. We are about to float away. :) A muffin would be good about now.

Lexi is such a doll. It's obvious that she has great parents!

Your duck is cute! We have those leaves too. I wish we could just mow the yard right now and get rid of a few of them.

Hi Darlene! That little Lexi is just everything - pretty as a picture, smart and jumps all over the place! :) How proud you must be of her.
They say we're actually going to get some rain and cooler weather today. I surely hope so.
Oh, thank you, I'll take a muffin please! :)
Be a sweetie,
Shelia :)

Okay Darlene...come on over this weekend...it is going to be 65 degrees and clear...I will bring the weather and a great pumpkin patch and you bring your precious daughter and those muffins! But the rumors about wet weather in Portland are true...it is going to rain till the cows come home beginning Tuesday.

Great job on the fantastic grades, Lexi...smart girls rule!!!! Have a great weekend and stay dry and warm....don't you just love fall?!!!

Congratulations Lexi on the straight A's! That's impressive especially since she's busy with dance all the time!
Love the goose and pumpkins! It looks great! And don't you just hate raking leaves? We have three huge trees in our backyard and I hate having to clean them up! Luckily, my husband does that most of the time! ;) Have a great weekend!

Hi there Darlene...love your blog. I am an Okie too! But living in Texas until we can get back to Oklahoma. We lived in Ardmore from 1997-1999. Our girls were just about your daughter's age when we lived there. They went to Charles Evans Elem. We loved it there!!

Kudos to Lexi for the A's! Woot!

We have green overload in New Orleans. No falling leaves, no color changes...

Way to go Lexi! I know how that goes - with 3 in school, life just seems to take place between homework and school events...there isn't a lot of time in between!

Those apple muffins look delicious, by the way! Apple muffins are my kids favorite!

Our leaves haven't started falling just yet... Some have turned color but many more need to. I think our fall weather is supposed to come next week, It's been looking more like summer here lately. (no complaints)

Thanks for the kind words on my blog today-You are so sweet. Ronnie has signed a 3 year contract with a top modeling agency here in Seattle. It's making me pretty nervous but I googled the heck out of it and it's on the up and up! She's been going to alot of photo shoots lately, but needs to save up for a portfolio so she can get some serious jobs. I've been watching Noelle while Ronnie is at the photo shoots-what a complete joy she is~♥
Have a great weekend,
Robin~♥

The muffins look good. Save me one.
I think Lexi always excells at everything she does, so I bet her report card will be a good one.
I used to have a cement goose too, and my friend made clothes for it for all the holidays.
Have a great weekend.

Hi Darlene, your muffins look so good. I baked an apple and berry cobbler today. Cooking and baking in cooler weather is just more fun. I forgot to take a photo. You would think I would know better by now. LOL.

Good for Lexie getting her good grades. I can't help comparing her with my granddaughter Ashley. She is older but like Lexie she does so much and still gets straight A's. We are so proud of her. I am proud of Lexie too.

Love your pumpkins and the duck. Not the leaves. They are a pain.

Our puppy is getting lots of fur now. We will have an updated photo this week.

Have a great weekend.

Hugs, Jeanne

Oh yeah I would love some of those right about now...I haven't eaten breakfast yet but it is almost 11 pm so I guess lunch is the next best thing...lol

Midnight sure is growing up so fast...I remember when you all found her..and boy the shine she has. My cat will do the same also...she always tends to get the bread and nothing else...never seen a cat so picky as Rowdy.

Love all the goodies you won and bought off Etsy. I love me some etsy! I haven't seen those books but do share some of the secrets maybe one day in your blog. I would love to hear some free decorating secrets...lol...

love those burlap punkins...I have some burlap and was going to try and do one but still haven't.
