Halloween Fun....

Lexi dressed up as a witch this year. Friday afternoon they had the downtown trick-or-treat with the merchants. My parents were in town and they had never been, so we went and roamed around a bit. The lines are always long up and down the street and Lexi only got a bit of candy. We shopped in a few stores. She is in front of my favorite antique store.
Here is what it looks like up and down Main Street.
It was beautiful all weekend long. Saturday morning Lexi carved her pumpkin. She made a Weaving Widow (spider).
Look at that concentration!
Saturday night she was dressed and ready. She ended up going to a Halloween party with one of her friends. She had tons of fun and ended up with lots of candy!

Good Morning Darlene and Happy November! Lexi's costume is great...she looks darling! It looks like you guys had a wonderful time. I just love Halloween...I think that it is a real community building celebration...folks that you don't even know, knocking at your door, all dressed up and happy...I love it. Fun, fun. I love the smell of our daughter's bag of candy...it takes me back to my childhood...the wonderful aroma of chocolate, fruit treats and gum all blended together...ahhh, the memories!

Have a great week.

Hi Miss Darlene,

I was hoping you were going to post halloween photos of our girl.
She looked amazing! Love the whole outfit, she looked like a very "styling" witch.

YEA!! I was hoping you would share some pics of Lexy dressed up. I clicked on the photo to see it better. Super cute...I love the shiny orange web fabric. Also, then I got to see the pumpkin up close. Looks like it was a lot of work, but well worth it.
Another great year!! We sure enjoyed it. : )

She just gets cuter and cuter with each passing day, Darlene! And I love that look of concentration on her face as she carved the pumpkin, Darlene. I'm glad she ended up getting lots of treats. She's such a sweetie (and her Mama is, too) that she deserves them.

XO,

Sheila :-)

Hi Darlene, Lexi is an adorable witch. I'm glad she had fun at her party. Her pumpkin looks great.

Tomorrow I am posting my four grands that were here at my daughter's home for Halloween and a football game. My granddaughter Ashley, which is so like Lexie in so many ways (also a straight A student)has blond hair and up to her eyeballs in sports and music.
She is 15, doesn't wear makeup and is so sweet. My grandsons are very special too. I do love them so much.

Yes, we saw our puppy and we are in love already. We will bring her home next weekend on our way home from our daughter's house on Sunday. Yep, another football game too.

Hugs, Jeanne

Hi Darlene
Now isn't she just the cutest witch? It looks like you had great weather and thank you for the little tour of your town also. Do you go into the antique store often? Love those.
I hope you have a great day and don't eat Lexi's candy!...at least not all of it.

Lexi looks so cute in her costume! It's hard for me to picture her as "witchy" though.

If she had come to our house she would have gotten lots and lots of candy.

Love that little shop you like to go in.

Hugs, Gretchen

I made Matthew promise to raise mask for little ones, and bigger ones that looked scared. Although, most of the kids who came, walked up to the porch and said "Hi Matthew". Only one little friend was scared, and when she saw his face, she smiled!! So all was well.
