Leaves EVERYWHERE, More Etsy and A Win.....

I have to tell you when you live on an acre with tons of trees, you end up with a leaf mess!! We are already covered up and there are STILL a lot more leaves to fall. This is down the side of our home (we live on a corner lot)......a total blanket of leaves (click on any picture to enlarge).
We have a horseshoe shaped driveway and this is part of it....covered up!
Now on to some more Etsy love. I saw these burlap acorns from Ramona at A Day in the Life of Ramona and had to have them. They are sooooo CUTE!
Also, look at these darling velveteen Christmas bell acorns, also from Ramona. She has more of these cuties in her shop right now so if you want them, pay her a visit. She has also told me she is working on something new for her shop. I can't wait to see what it is. Thanks Ramona!!
I also saw these cute tags at Anne Fannie's Green Acres. They come 6 to a pack (as you can see I bought four packs) and will be so adorable on our Christmas gifts. She has a lot of cute tags in her shop. She also has another Etsy shop with beautiful mosaic pieces she has made. Go by and take a peek. Thanks Anne!!
Also, Jes from Kady Hope had a question on a post asking "What are you crafting right now". Well, I answered her that Lexi and I were crafting the locker magnets and it entered me in her giveaway, which I ended up winning. Here is the loot......clear stamps, funky fibers, and little library pockets. She also sent some candy to us and we have already eaten it!!! Thanks so much Jes, I'll put on my crafty thinking cap and come up with a craft for these.
Lexi is out of school today for parent/teacher conferences, so we will just be hanging out, chillin'. Hope you all have a great Friday.♥

You and Lexi enjoy this wonderful weather and have fun making the locker magnets. Love all the goodies. Now, those leaves. Wow you do have a lot. We have 8 big trees and I know what you mean. We blow them off the porch one day and before night it needs it again. Good luck with yours, you have LOTS!!

Enjoy your day off Darlene. We have woods around our house and are yard looks a lot like yours. We can barely keep up with clearing them away. I love the smell and the crunch of the leaves though and the way they look swirling down from the trees.

Enjoy this Friday...do something exciting for both of you.

I know what you mean about the leaves...if we had a dime for each leaf we would be soooo rich!

Have fun enjoying your long weekend. We're hosting a gymnastics meet at our gym tomorrow, so it's busy, busy, busy for us (til Sunday anyway). I'd rather go play in the leaves.

I thought of you the other day when my one tree lost it's leaves. :) I remembered all your leaves from last year. That is a huge project!

We live in a mobile home park and the area around our house is getting covered in leaves. We have not gotten out there to start cleaning it up since we got back from our trip. Too dark when we get home from work. How nice that you have a day off together with Lexi. I would so enjoy that kind of a day.

Oooh, Darlene, love all of the things you found around the Land of Blog, and I love your winnings, too!

If you get a chance, pop over to Spencer's blog and click on her side bar that says "My Story." She has overcome so much and is just an angel. I think it will bless you to read it. I didn't really know her before this drawing, and boy, I'm so blessed that I do. She's a true sweetheart.

Love to two more sweethearts... you and Miss Lexi!

XO,

Sheila :-)

Hope you enjoyed your day with Lexi!! Have a wonderful weekend!♥

Oh, and our yard is a lot like yours...covered in leaves! The way the wind is blowing today I'm surprised there are any leaves left on the trees!!!

I know just what you mean about having a big lot and lots of leaves. We are on 2 acres, but the back acre is bare pretty much. The front part has 20 big trees. We have a riding lawnmower that also works as a vacuum, so that helps. I think your property looks so nice, with the big trees.
Love all your goodies!!

Hi Darlene, we just returned home (our dtr's house)from watching our grandson play for the halftime break at the HS football game. He is a freshman in the marching band. I tell ya they looked awesome and sounded great. Am I just a proud grandma here? No, they were good. Tomorrow they compete in regional competition. I think they will do well.

Congrats on your crafty win. I know you and Lexi will have fun with all that neat stuff. You have been buying some very nice things from Etsy. I really need to do some shopping on Etsy. Great talent making great things.

I have to say I can see your fall leaves are burying you alive. LOL. We live on the edge of a wildlife preserve but we just get minimal leaves. It is something about the way the wind blows on our mountain. They blow into the woods.

Our front yard does not have trees. I am going to plant some evergreens at the bottom of our property though. Our yard goes down hill and there is close to an acre in the front yard alone. Quite a mowing challenge.

Yes, our puppy rides home in my lap on Sunday. She weighs 3 pounds. We pick her up in GA on our way home.
I will post pictures for sure.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Hugs, Jeanne

I love those burlap acorns, they are gorgeous. Congratulations on your win too. Loks like you have lots of goodies there to enjoy.
Hope you are having a great weekend.

Hey Darlene! Just got back from St. Louis so I'm coming by to visit my friends.

You are so bad exposing me to your Etsy wonderfulness. I kind of got into an ordering frenzy awhile back and made myself stop. It's easy to spend money online without thinking about it. For me anyway!

Ramona's things are always amazing.

I love the idea of the locker magnets. How creative!!! We have leaves all over our yard!!! Rich already raked last week and you'd never know it!

I hope you enjoyed your time off with Lexi. I'm looking forward to a little time off myself. :)

take care,
Dawn
