It is Snowing AGAIN and What Santa Brought...

It is hard to believe but 5 days after our Christmas Eve blizzard, this is what it still looks like. A lot of snow has melted but there is STILL a long way to go and do you see what it is doing again??? SNOWING!!!! We are only supposed to get about an inch but it will probably be really icy tomorrow morning. Glad I don't have to be anywhere early!
Santa was very good to Lexi and brought her what she had asked for. Her look says it all! She got a Bella Razor electric scooter, a new net for her trampoline, a small laptop (that will be monitored closely), helmet and some booties.
She always has fun getting into her stocking too. She had some candy (of course!!), Twilight bookmark and necklace, Bananagrams (game), candy cane pens, a book called Eleven, and this nail file that says I ♥ Snow.
It is hard to believe that we are zooming right along to the New Year. Lexi has started basketball practice and is excited to be playing again this year (she hasn't been on a basketball league for the past two years). It is a bit rough so we will see how she does with it this year.

Scooter and helmet so cute for your cute gal.

Yes, it is snowing here once more...the moisture will be great for next summer's garden though.

Girl I'm glad I clicked on your blog right now! We are down by Austin visiting family. Driving home tomorrow. Hopefully the weather will not hinder our travel.

It's so much fun to keep up with Lexi the future star!!

What fun gifts! That pink scooter is as cute as can be!

And Mr. Magpie got one of those banana thingies. LOL! He's about Lexi's same age. ;-)

Such cute pics, Darlene. Looks like a fun Christmas!

What in the world is with all the snow?
Glad Santa was good to Lexi - that scooter looks like fun. Maybe one day the snow will melt & she can ride it.

Hi Darlene! Wow! That Lexi made a haul! Ask her if I can borrow her laptop....I am going to get a new computer soon and don't know what kind to get! Tell her I'll be careful with it! :)

Your Christmas Eve looks so lovely! I'll bet it was wonderful celebrating it at your parents' new home...I know you're looking forward to them being there permanently.

Our snow is supposed to start around mid-night...also about the same amount of accumulation as you're predicted to get. I think we had at least 8" in our area, but with the drifting, it seemed like more. I do know the amount on our front sidewalk was at least a foot....cuz I shoveled that part. I don't want any more snow....we, too, have had a bit of melting, but the temps are supposed to be below freezing for the next week. It looks like we live in the arctic! :)

Have a safe and Happy New Year!

L, Dana

I'm so glad we don't have all that snow! I'm afraid to say if I had a nail file like that, it would say, I don't heart snow!

more snow?! yikes! with all the rain we had on Christmas and the day after, it totally melted our 20+ inches and now we are mostly snow free. you still see it on the sides of the roads here and there, but it's mostly gone. thankfully!

We too had snow again this afternoon. We are supposed to get 1-2 inches...on top of melting snow/ice, makes more ice over night! Luckily, hubby drives a jeep w/ 4-wheel drive! So we can go where-ever, whenever we want!! Glad you had a good Christmas. Stay warm and safe. Happy New Year!!

Wow...you've been getting plastered! I hope things are settling down by now. I'm dying to see Lexi on that new Scooter. It look adorable!
I loooooved seeing the beautiful brunch your parents made the family. And how nice that your brother could fly in from Florida. What a weather shock for him, though.
Take care and stay warm,
Mary Lou

HOW FUN!! Lexi is going to have a ball with that scooter. She got some great gifts. Boy, what a mess we have. It snowed over night but then was above freezing before 4 am so it is slush and mess now. I sure hope it has a chance to dry out before the next round. Have fun with Lexi.

Hey Darlene! Wow, more snow? Wow. Adorable scooter for Lexi...she will have so much fun! The laptop will be good...Whitney took her time learning how to type...which in Junior high she had to start typing her own papers...so learning the laptop will have alot of benefits for you...unless you are like me and will end up typing everything for her until she gets to college! Big smile.

Hi Darlene
Sorry to hear you have more snow on the way. Our snow stayed for days too but I am glad to say it's all gone now. Lexi looks to have some great presents there especially the adorable pink scooter.
