My Christmas Living Room area.....

I am linking up with The Nester today for the Christmas Tour of Holiday Homes. I am sharing my living room area, and beware there are lots of pictures. I keep seeing posts that say people are decorating more simply this year or putting out less. Not me!!!!! I have a lot of decorations, and I have fun using them during this time of year. I love seeing everything all lit up. It just looks so magical. Grab a cookie and let's start the tour.

This is our mantle.

My bench at the front door entry.
Above a cabinet that holds all of our movies. Santa is watching you......

On top of our computer desk.

A sofa table moved by this half wall for Christmas time. I like it here....it may stay.

Top of my old little hutch in the living room. My glittered snowmen and church.

Here is the top of the Christmas tree. Our camera has a hard time taking a pretty picture of it. In person, it looks beautiful.

It is funny looking at the picture because I see bare spots in the tree. Our young cat, Midnight, has knocked or pulled so many ornaments off the bottom area, that each time I hang them back, I hang them higher and higher. At least only one has been broken so far.......

I hope you enjoyed my tour of my Christmas living room. Glad you stopped by and hope you are having a wonderful and magical day.♥

Okay Darlene, I'm looking at your pics with envy because I'm thinking to myself...How does she do it? She has cats!....and then you mention Midnight! :) Everything looks great! I especially LOVE the Santa face picture on your shelf.

Good Morning Darlene ~

I love it! I swear that I can hear the Christmas music and smell cookies baking when I look at your pictures. Your tree is gorgeous! We have our "ornament eating black lab" this year...so I feel your pain regarding the tree.

Everything looks beautiful...I'll be over at 10 and I'll bring the hot cider!

Everything looks so "Christmasy" in your pictures. I am like you in decorating a lot...I find items that I have and I want to display them so another flat surface is decorated.

Two of my cats like to sleep under the tree - but knock on wood have not bothered any of the decorations.

Love all of the holiday touches in your home - now sit back & enjoy.

I just love the Santa print over your cabinet! And your snowman and church village is just darling.

I'm with you Darlene . . . I like to decorate A LOT for C'mas. I like to almost totally transform my house into all C'mas. Oh, I like to look at the simple, sparse look too - just not for me!

Thanks so much for sharing.

It all looks so beautiful! I love your tree. That Santa face is great, I just saw one like that on our house tour on Saturday. Is it from a catalog? Lands End or something like that? I thought that is where the homeowner said she had gotten it. He's great!

Hi, Darlene..thanks so much for the warm and friendly words you left at my place today.
About making mosaics...I really am not very good at it, either...I don't have the software that many bloggers use for their beautiful mosaics..but...I do use a FREE program, photoscape...you can do so many many things with it, from resizing, sharpening, mosaics...a million things. I just couldn't blog without it. I use it every single post....makes my dark photos lighter, more clear....fabulous. Just go to photoscape.com and it will all come up. FREE !! woo hoo...
I remember last year you helped me put snow on my blog. I loved it...then, this year, it is jerky and slows my blog down so so much..I finally just took it off. If you come up with some more, let me know, pls...:)

Darlene I love your decorating but had to laugh about Midnight knocking ornaments off the tree. I still have the vacuum cleaner on an extension cord next to our tree this year so I can turn it on remotely to scare our cat Oliver away from the tree. He's 4-1/2 years old this Christmas and still stalks the tree every day!
