She Might Be a Redneck!!!!

It was time to mow this weekend and Lexi begged and begged to mow. Well, hubby didn't let her mow but did let her drive the mower all around. She has now patiently waited each day for Alan to get home and driven the mower all around. She loves it! I think the actual mowing is next on the agenda!!!

Have a great Wednesday!

The Rock Wall....

After the Saturday Show Choir performance, Lexi changed and did one of her favorite things......she climbed the rock wall. Here she is getting strapped into the belt.
Almost there.......
She made it to the top and rang the buzzer. She does it every year!
Back down to the ground.
Hope you are all having a fabulous Thursday.♥

Mom's Diagnosis and Some Homework Help....

I can't thank all of you enough for the prayers and support for my Mom during her mystery illness. She has finally been diagnosed after five Doctors. She has Erythema Nodosum. It is supposed to be a fairly easy diagnosis. Ha!!!!! You could have fooled us! She was in misery for about three weeks. After a cortisone shot and some other meds she is feeling great other than still being a bit weak.

As you can see Lexi gets quite a bit of homework help. Midnight is always happy to play with her pencil while Lexi is trying to concentrate!
I hope you all are having a fabulous Wednesday. We are supposed to hit high 80's to low 90's today!

More Show Choir....

Here is the Show Choir patiently waiting for their turn to perform again....this time right down the street from the park at Earth Day. The stage.....a parking lot!
Several of you asked about their performance. They did two songs. We Go Together and Born to Hand Jive from Grease. About two weeks ago the music teacher decided they needed to dress 50's instead of wearing their show choir tees. For the girls she would like poodle skirts or capris, white button down tops and scarves in their hair. We went with the latter since there are only about six performances and I wasn't going to spend the money to get a custom poodle skirt....to bad I can't just sew one up!!

They all had a great time and did a great job.

We are having gorgeous weather here.....now don't be too jealous!!!

Show Choir Performance Pictures.....

We had a great time on Saturday at a couple of different events. I'll be showing pictures from them this week. This is some pictures of Lexi with her Show Choir group. It is 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders from Lone Grove. This was their performance at Kids Day in the Park. Lexi is to the far left in the picture.
She is in the middle row behind the little boy (that is 2nd from right on the front row).
This is a group picture of them on the stage. It had been drizzling that morning but turned out nice for the event.
Lexi and "L" posing in front of the big church doors across the street from the park.

Hope you all are having a great Monday. We are supposed to have temperatures in the 80's this week.

Quiet Mornings....

I wanted to thank you all for the prayers for my Mom. She is still sick and running a temperature of between 101 and 102 and feeling miserable. They have run blood tests and nothing is coming back as a cause. She does go to a different Doctor today, so hopefully they can figure out what is wrong.

I wanted to show you my little rooster kitchen lamp. Each morning when I take the dogs out I have my little lamp glow. It just makes me happy in the early, quiet morning.
I hope you all have a great weekend. We are going to Kids Day in the Park and Earth Day. Lexi has two performances with her Show Choir at the functions. Hope to show you some pictures on Monday.

Where IS Stella going???

I am leaving you with a couple of more pictures of Stella. She couldn't wait to take a picture in front of these beautiful pansies.
We added something to her dress to represent her stay in Oklahoma. Lexi is pointing to it (remember you can click on the picture to enlarge it). We added a pin of the State of Oklahoma.
Now the moment you have been waiting for. Several of you guessed it from the last few words I wrote on the last post....."be a sweetie". She is going to the Texas Gulf Coast to visit Shelia with Note Songs. I KNOW she is going to have a wonderful time there. Be sure to go by and visit.

The Easter Egg Hunt.....

What a great day to hunt Easter eggs. Lexi and her best friend "L" and Stella all were ready!
Stella was ready to climb the fence and get to those eggs. She has quite the sweet tooth!
On your mark, get ready.............GO!
Grab, grab, grab, grab, grab..........

Look at all the eggs.....woohoo! There were 1,000 eggs in each field, for each age category.
Let's see what all we got. None of the prize money eggs but lots of goodies.... what FUN!
I'm sad to say that Stella left today, because we had so much fun with her, but I am excited to see the next adventures she will have. Tomorrow I'll let you know where she is traveling to next. Many of you know her blog and LOVE her so "be a sweetie"!

Glitter & Tie Dye Eggs & A Lost Tooth.....

What a fun afternoon. Lexi made six tie dye eggs and six glittered eggs. She had so much fun dyeing her eggs for Easter.

Here are her beautiful eggs settled in one of her pretty baskets.
Lexi also lost one of her back molars (excuse her dyed fingers...lol). Lexi and Stella are so excited that the tooth fairy will be coming to visit. I'll let you know when we get up what the tooth fairy left. (I snuck a peek and she got 5 gold dollars...WOOHOO!)
Hope you are having a great Friday. On Saturday Lexi and Stella are going on an Easter Egg hunt. What fun!!

Tucker Tower Nature Center.....

The next day we went to Tucker Tower Nature Center. Remember the tank top and shorts yesterday? Now look, layered in clothes because the high is in the 40's with the wind blowing ridiculously hard. There is a long walk up to the tower.
Here is the caretakers home.
The fish of Lake Murray.
Displays of insects and butterflies.
History and tools used when building the Lake Murray area.
Going up into the tower this is out the first landing. She was looking over at the Marina.
This is the winding stairway that goes up to the very top. We put Stella back in her "safe" bag just so she wouldn't blow away when we went out.
At the top! Lexi felt like she was going to blow away so we didn't stay out long at all.
Hope you are all having a great Wednesday. We have been having a great time with Stella.

Lake Murray with Stella.....

After the performances at the fund raiser for tornado victims we headed over to Lake Murray. Lexi just knew Stella would enjoy feeding the Canadian geese and yes, she did! It was a beautiful day in the 80's though very windy!
Those of you that have hosted Stella know she is quite the funny gal. She wanted to jump out there on the back of that Canadian goose and ride it around like a boat! I had to hang on to her!!
Isn't that anchor huge??
Next we went over to a beach area and just walked all around. No one was there and it was very nice. A few boats even zoomed by.

She that tower over there? It is Tucker Tower and we are heading there next.
Here we are and oh no, it is closed....boo. That's okay cause we went the next day. Come back tomorrow for Tucker's Tower.
Also, when Stella leaves she will need to travel to a different state. If you are interested my e-mail is under my profile. Just let me know. I'll try to send her to a state she has not been to yet.
