Third Mini Society - Salt Dough Conversation Hearts....

Lexi had her third Mini Society at school last Friday. Just what is a Mini Society? Go here to find out. We ended up making salt dough conversation hearts. It was a lot of fun and they turned out so cute! I think I jinxed her though, because before she left I said "I hope you don't sell many because I want them"! Well, she came home with quite a few, so YAY I get to use them in our Valentine decorations. She also had some boxes of the real candy conversation hearts and gave those out when someone bought one of her hearts.

Do you see her cute shirt? When we went shopping the other day, we ended up stopping at an Old Navy and saw this. What a PERFECT shirt to wear to sell conversation heart decorations!
Hope you are all enjoying your Wednesday. We are supposed to be getting an ice/snow storm tomorrow. Hopefully, we keep our power.♥

Those are the cutest things! Love the shirt too. Lexi will sell out fast. It looks like you all are in for more ice then we are. So far one tree is down and one to go today. Trimming on 2 others today also. I sure hope it doesn't get as bad as they say. Alan Mitchell said probably no school on Friday so that sounds like they are sure it will be bad. You all take care and be careful.

Dear Darlene, I just caught up on your posts I missed and I was glad to see your great recipe project going strong. Great fun and I love reading your recipes. I will be trying some too.

I enjoyed reading your favorite 10. I had fun with that too. We do think alike in many ways.

Lexi's heart project came out so pretty. Her T shirt is perfect. How lucky to find it. I think it was meant yo be... I know she loved this project even if she had some left over.

Have a wonderful day and thank you for your sweet comments. You know I love to hear from you always.

Hugs xoxo, Jeanne

Hi Darlene
Lexi's Conversation Hearts look great. We call them 'Love Hearts' over here! Your valentine decorations are going to be wonderful. Maybe you could string them together and make a banner. I love her t-shirt too, so cute.
Hope the ice/snow storm is not too bad. It's still freezing here although we are glad the sbow has gone at last.

Did they have those shirts in adult sizes? I've loved conversation hearts since I was little, and I still do! We used to make salt dough Christmas ornaments, but I never thought of doing them for Valentine's Day, they are too cute!

I have still got to try to make those! Did you dye the dough or just paint it? They are too cute. My daughter wants to go to Old Navy after school today. Now, after seeing Lexi's shirt, we may be getting more than boots! We're suppose to get this yucky weather too. They said it could last for 3 days in your state, not to mention the after effects. I dread it. I can't stay in more than a day or 2. Good luck!

How CUTE! I love her hearts and her heart shirt!

I thought of you when I heard about the path of the storm! I hope you guys keep your power! Do you know that 8 years ago this Sat. KC had a horrible ice storm. We lost power for 9 days...and we lost the better part of the 7 huge trees in our yard. It cost a fortune to get that mess cleaned up and the trees professionally shaped up. Our roof and guttering were also messed up. We had just switched homeowners ins. and amazingly our new co. covered nearly all of our expenses. THEN to make things even wilder, just five days after our power came on (Valentine's Day) my husband had a heart attack! He had to have three bypasses. It was a bad beginning to 2002. However, he is probably in better physical shape since the heart attack because he exercises and eats well (MOST of the time!)

I'll keep my fingers crossed that the bad weather skips your area! L, Dana

PS We're supposed to get some snow..2-3 inches. I can deal with that, just as long as there's no ice!

I love how you found the shirt that matched. Don't you just love when a plan comes together all by itself? I like to think that God has His hand in those little details.

Good Morning My Friend ~

Oh my good golly..this is a precious post. I absolutely love those hearts...you know me and hearts! That shirt!!!! Too cute. In the craziness around here I did note the weather in your neck-of-the-woods...hang in there....snow and ice can be fun if you get to stay home and make cocoa...but please take care and stay warm.

Smiles ~ Ramona
