You're Never Alone & Easy Crockpot Chicken...

Lexi wasn't feeling quite up to par one day this past week, and ended up falling asleep on the couch for a couple of hours. When she woke up she felt great and here was the love surrounding her.

Also, several of you asked about my crockpot chicken recipe. Oh, like my new crockpot? Mine was about 30 years old and this beauty was one of my Christmas gifts. I took a picture right when I threw everything in to make my chicken. Anyway, back to the recipe. Lexi LOVES it so we have it quite often.
Easy Crockpot Chicken
* 1 small onion sliced in rings
* I buy the bags of frozen chicken breasts and use 3 - 4
* Chicken rub seasoning or any seasoning you want (or none at all)
* 1 can of cream of mushroom soup or cream of chicken soup
* 1 package onion soup mix (I use generic brand)
* 1 can of water
Put the sliced onions on the bottom of the crockpot. Place the frozen chicken breasts on top of that. I sprinkle my seasoning mix on the chicken. Mix the can of soup, can of water and onion soup together and pour over the top. It only takes about 4 - 5 hours on low. If you want, you can thicken the broth with some flour or corn starch and it is great over noodles, rice or potatoes.
My Easy Chicken and Dumplings turned out great and I'll share that recipe on Monday's post, along with my menu for the week. Hope you have a great weekend. Lexi has her first basketball game....wish them well.♥

That is the sweetest picture! Lexi is so cute and just look at Tangie...all attitude!! Very impressive Crock Pot! I have been shopping for one, Cade now has karate 3 nights and then we have church on wed. night. I'm having a hard time keeping up with supper. Last night, Andy brought home take out, something we never do unless it is the weekend. I don't want that do be a habit.
Can't wait to see more of your recipes! and I hope Lexi scores 18 3 point shots!!

Thanks for the chicken recipe. I love crockpot cooking but not a big fan of chicken in it. I'll have to try your recipe!

I just adore how animals know just what to do when we are feeling down (even if they carry a little attitude with it, Tangie!). Glad Lexi is feeling better and I will so have to try your chicken crockpot recipe. Yum!!

Awww! Love all that good warm love! : )

Is your Crock-Pot one that has the hooks on the sides so you can secure the top to take places? Mine's not a programmable one but it is a Hamilton Beach and does have a top like yours and I thought I spied the little things the hooks loop over. I LOVE mine. My old one was just not big enough to do all the stuff I wanted to do with it, so I got that one last year for Christmas. Can I say again that I LOVE it? : )

I hope Lexi is feeling better. That’s not nice and hopefully she’ll be back in the swing of things soon. Isn’t that cute that her little furry brothers/sisters were close by watching over her and snuggling too.

Aaahh! They just know how to suggle their way in, don't they! The kiddos too! :-)

Thanks for your comment on my last post. I wanted to comment on you rlast one too - the recipe organization. I like your idea of the "try" group and then organizing further when they are keepers. I truly identify with the desire to eat new things - or at least old things in new ways!

Hi friend! Lexi looks so sweet there with the cats. :) Nothing better than snuggling with a sweet cat.

I make chicken like that too. One day last week (you know I'm working these days) I put boneless pork chops in the crock pot prepared the same way. They were awesome! I used two cans of mushroom soup and we ate it over rice. yummy!
