Cinnamon Pull-Apart Bread (Monkey Bread)....

Lexi had a friend spend the night last night, so this morning I thought it was the perfect opportunity to try this recipe.  It has always been known to me as Monkey Bread.  This recipe is from the Kraft foods website and is simple, SIMPLE.

All of us agreed it is DELICIOUS and a keeper.  The web site isn't wanting to pull up this morning so here is the recipe below.  I didn't "frost" mine because I didn't think the girls would like the cream cheese frosting (and they didn't).  But, I made it and just put it in individual bowls for Alan and I to dip in.  For the girls, I made a simple drizzle glaze (1/4 C. powdered sugar and 2 tsp. milk - mix well) that they used.  Also, the recipe says to sprinkle any unused cinnamon/sugar mixture over the top.  I read the reviews and people said it got too crunchy/done so I just sprinkled a small amount of my left-over mixture.  Next time I will sprinkle some of it around as I am putting the dough quarters in the pan.  I also put my cinnamon/sugar mixture in a large baggie (instead of a bowl) to coat the pieces of biscuit dough (easy).
This will definitely be made again, but only for special occasions or holidays.  DELICIOUS!

Oh good grief...I will be right over. I can almost smell those baking. I love the Kraft website...I get their magazine and use a meatball recipe from there that is to die for.

What a perfect way to start a Saturday...cinnamon and bread baking in kitchen...Heaven!

I haven't made this in a very long time, which is probably a good thing as I could probably eat it all by myself. Love anything with cinamon & frosting!!

Hi Darlene, I am finally getting to the pinkies who visited me today. I was busy all day cleaning etc. With my cousin here so long I neglected my house.

I love that monkey bread. My cousin Marilyn introduced it to us a few years ago. I never make it. She makes it when she visits. I would eat the whole thing. HA!
I know you enjoyed it. We had sunshine today!!!
Hugs, Jeanne
