It's Snowing Again.....

Update: Friday morning....hard to believe, but school was NOT canceled. All of the other districts around us did cancel....not ours! When I backed out of my garage I was spinning my tires trying to get traction (we are on a little hill), so 4 wheel drive to the rescue. It was the first time I have used it and it easily got me out of the driveway and out of our neighborhood. The main streets were fine as our temps. stayed a bit higher than they had been and it is either clear and dry or a bit slushy.
Yep, it is snowing again today. This has happened in the last 3 hours. Predictions in our area (for today's snow) were for 1 - 3 inches last night. Then this morning, revised to 3 - 6 inches and on the news just now it is 4 - 8 inches. It is huge flakes and beautiful and still falling!

Sadly, there will be no Daddy Daughter Sweetheart dance tonight and I bet there won't be school tomorrow. They are in school today, and now I'm sure Lexi can't wait to get home to play in the snow.♥

Be still my heart.

I hate it. I just do.

This native Cali girl just can't handle the snow. I asked God to make it stay away.

:) Aren't I terrible?

oxoxoRebecca PS: My outdoor rabbit looked JUST LIKE YOURS!

Snowing here and sticking now. Nothing like you show in your pictures...but who knows what the next 24 hours could show.

I know Lexi (and the other girls) will be disappointed with the cancellation of the Sweetheart dance...(perhaps they can have it at a later date.

Stay warm.

3rd time this winter!! It is so pretty and coming down fast. My son in MD has 51" so I won't complain about our 6". Too bad about the dance. I bet AJ's dance is canceled too. Enjoy.

I love the big flakes - we had some here in central AR earlier this week. Our school was open for the first time today but BBC had a fever and cough and had to stay home. Another winter break for him, I guess! Stay warm and safe!

That poor concrete bunny...he looks like a few around here. I'm glad they like the snow! We just had a few flakes in the last couple of days....and lots of COLD!

I'm still under the weather. It's a good thing the sky is cloudy...makes it easier to sleep! :)

Stay warm, L, Dana

I bet your daughter loves her snow days off from school! I remember being a kid and my mom calling up to my room, "no school today because of the snowstorm." Yippee.....

We were supposed to have some snow the other night for a change and we did have some...a dusting...and nothing today. Its beautiful and sunny and the snow that is on the ground from whenever is there because its cold but its a nice calm white bright cold.

Well....spring will come...
*hugs*
beautiful pictures.

Happy Snow Days to You!

I love it. Snow just changes the feeling of the whole day. The kids must be so excited sitting in school and seeing the snow fall...good luck teaching them when all they want to do is play in the flakes! How exciting...it makes me want to be a kid again.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Can you believe, we have had NO snow this year?! It is crazy! Our principal (private school) randomly decided to give us today off of school because we haven't had any snow days!

What a shame that the dance is canceled; I hope they reschedule. Our church is having one, and my son is taking his youngest daughter. Stay warm, Darlene.

Hi Darlene, We are expecting snow tonight, too! The kids are excited, but disappointed in way, because they won't miss school! "Snow on Saturday!" LOL!

Darlene, did you send snow our way? We are snowed in once again. I was driving home from town in the snow and I barely made it up our driveway. My wheels were spinning like crazy. Now you can't even see where the road is. In fact we can't even see our mountains. It is a white wall. Really beautiful.

You are right, I can't believe you have never had rice pudding. You will have to try this recipe. Put it on next weeks menu challenge. Smile.

What a shame the Lexi might miss her dance with her daddy. I know how much it means to them both. This snow is causing lots of trouble.

Happy Valentines day to you and your family.
Hugs xoxo, Jeanne

I'm almost a little jealous of your snowy pictures- we have gotten NONE, ZILCH snow here while everyone else seems to be getting tons! I saw your update- maybe that means Lexi still was able to attend her dance?!

Oh my goodness, Darlene!!! I just can't get over all these pics I see on the Blogs and in the news. So glad you have a 4 wheel drive!!
I SO enjoyed the post below about Lexi's honor choir. I DID click on the pics to see her up close...so cute! And I also read about the amazing choir director. How does one get to be that accomplished??? My kiddos all performed in Honor Bands over the years and loved it. I remember how they would practiced as separate schools and then came together for the big day. Such a great idea!!!
Take care and stay warm,
Mary Lou

I have been wishing and wishing and WISHING for a snow day. We haven't had that much snow this year, unlike the rest of the country. I'm a little jealous. I guess February isn't over yet, so it could still happen.
