Menu for March 1 - 7 and Review of Last Week's New Recipe....

Be sure to visit I'm An Organizing Junkie for hundreds more menu plans for the week.  This is our menu this week.  (Blue names are linked to a recipe.)

* Monday - Shake-n-Bake Pork Chops, hashbrown casserole (new recipe) green beans
* Tuesday - Taco Soup (in freezer left over from previous meal), cornbread
* Wednesday - Macaroni and Cheese with Ham, peas
* Thursday - Meatloaf (a favorite), Can't Mess it Up Corny Casserole (new recipe), pork-  n-beans
* Friday - Baked Ziti Casserole (new recipe), salad, french bread
* Saturday and Sunday  Leftovers and/or out to eat

Review of last week's new recipe.
Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I - DELICIOUS!!!!!  Another new FAVORITE!  Simple, easy and loved it.  Lexi wasn't home Friday night (when we had this), she was spending the night with a friend, but Saturday for lunch she ate a BIG bowl of it and loved it!  Then finished it off with another bowl for lunch on Sunday.  My changes from the recipe are: I seared the stew meat along with the onions before putting them in the crock pot.  I also added a package of dry onion soup mix when mixing up the rest of the ingredients.  You will probably see this on our menu quite often.☺

Yeah! I was wondering how the stroganoff recipe would turn out. I wanted one for the crockpot and the one I tried was horrible so I never tried another one for fear of the same thing. I'll be trying this one this week!
I've been bad and haven't posted my menu for the third week in a row. I've been thinking about doing a month at a time and thought I would give it a try. I'm finalizing it today so I won't have time to post it but hopefully I'll be back to posting it next week.

Hi Again Darlene! You inspired me with that stroganoff recipe so I quick thawed a couple of sirloin steaks and threw it together for dinner tonight. I didn't have the golden mushroom soup so I used the cream of mushroom soup with a can of mushrooms. I also added the pack of french onion soup mix and seared the meat and onions.
I put a cry out for help on my blog for some specific recipes. Stop by and link the stroganoff recipe so you can be entered in my give-a-way.

That all sounds soooooo yummy!! It's getting close to lunch time for me and I'm STARVING! LOL. I was just telling another blogger in her comments that Baked Ziti is one of my favorite things to eat! I'll have to try that recipe! The slow cooker beef stroganof sounds easy and delicious. I'm always looking for new crock pot recipes. It's my favorite way to cook during the week.

Hope you guys have a great week!!♥

Darlene,
I was planning out my menu for the week and thinking about you and how I need to mix things up. The family was getting tired of the same ol same ol~:)
I'll I'm going to say is "they asked for it!"
They don't know it but they are getting gluten free everything! No preservatives, no MSG's in anything I make-I think their bodies may go into shock!

You have inspired me once again dear friend.

Love,
Me

Ok, so between the hashbrown and corn casseroles, mac n cheese and meatloaf I simply need to be invited over to eat at your house- like every day this week!!!

I've missed you Darlene- it's good to be back :) I just used my crockpot tonight to make a blackbean soup- they truly are one of the greatest kitchen inventions, aren't they?!

Looks and sounds good. I love stroganoff and I especially love pasta---any way, any time.
You are so lucky that Lexi is willing to try things. Sara's kids ( and Sean's ) won't eat so many things. They drive me nuts. Thank goodness for the chicken nugget!

Hi Darlene, I wrote a comment and CC stepped on my computer key board and deleted it. Laughing. She is a mommy's girl and loves to sit in my lap. Just like your poodle. They love to be close and touching you.

I laughed when you said I was a bit of a rebel. Actually I wasn't. My older sister was and I learned to not disagree with anyone because she was always in trouble. With my mom you could not win. I was guilty of doing what I wanted at times. HA! I was just sweet and sorry so I rarely was punished. You might say I worked it! Don't let Lexi read this...Laughing.

Your menu looks great. When my children were all together I cooked very much like you. I loved the crock pot.

Tomorrow we are getting a huge snowstorm again. It won't last though. It will be 60 by the weekend.

Happy day tomorrow.
Hugs xoxo, Jeanne

Both the hashbrown casserole and the cornbread are favorites in our house. I am sure you will all love those. I made the beef stroganoff last week too. Keep the menus coming. LOVE IT. I particularly like seeing what Caroline and Lexi like to eat. They are very similar girls.
