Nifty Thrifty Tuesdays......

Be sure to visit Linda at Coastal Charm for other thrifty finds.
I am so ready for our garage sales to start up again to find fun stuff.  I did stop at the local antique/thrift store last week and found these.  I think they will be perfect for ice cream and desserts.  There were five of them (I figured one got broken at some point) and I picked them up for $5.00.  I LOVE them.  They also are fairly heavy glass.
 Here is an up-close shot.
Hope you are having a great Tuesday.  The forecast here shows a high of 75* with sunshine.♥

My grandma had ice cream dishes like this!! We thought we were so elegant, having our mint chocolate chip scoops out of these! Thanks for the wonderful memory!

Good morning Darlene.
Terrific find! Once again, you have me wishing we had identical twin weather!
It's only 32.4 degrees here this morning. We are supposed to get another storm today. Oh joy!
Enjoy your sunny weather and beautiful ice cream bowls. :)

Happy Tuesday Darlene ~

It is no wonder that we are such good friends...I have the same bowls! I love them. They are the same ones used in a favorite movie of mine..."Jane Austin Book Club"...love that movie and love these bowls. They really make ice cream even more special...if that is possible.

Have a great day...I am off to mail some carrots...hee, hee.

Smiles ~ Ramona

Hi Darlene
I love those little bowls too. They would be great for ice cream, or rice pudding or jello...yum! You did so well with them too.

How come you are having such hot weather!! Lucky you.
We are supposed to have temps around 60 today too. That is unusual for us this time of year but we love it. The snow pic I had on my blog today was from a couple of weeks ago and just a flukey 1.5 days. We have not been having that this year.

Hoorayyy for spring coming..
have a great day
Judi

oh how I love yard sales and thrift shops! I try so hard to only give gifts from these places, it makes you thing out of the box, but usually I'm successful. This past weekend I scrambled, but was able to find a welcome baby gift, housewarming gift, and 2 birthday gifts all at my local thrift shops and everyone seem pleased with their items. Phew!!

I'm so excited for yard sale season as well. This will be the first time since college that I don't work on Friday mornings. Until then, though, I'm making my stops to the Goodwill every once in a while. :)

Love these. They look like little tiny trifle dishes. Just think, icecream weather is not far away.

I'm looking forward to garage sale season too. I noticed a few this past weekend. It's about that time.

Oh, Darlene! Those are neat. I can see ice cream in them for a fancy dessert! Or maybe trifle. YUM!

I think you got a good deal. Wish I could borrow them for Claudie's birthday, and I wish I could borrow you, too! I hate that we all live so far away!

XO,

Sheila :-)
