Menu for April 19th - 25th and Review of Last Week's New Recipe......

Be sure to visit I'm an Organizing Junkie for hundreds of other menu ideas for the week.

  • Monday - Spaghetti with meat sauce, french toast

  • Tuesday - Chili Dog with chips

  • Wednesday - Easy Santa Fe Stuffed Peppers (new recipe), carrots, corn-on-the-cob

  • Thursday - Cube Steak with mushroom gravy, rice, green beans

  • Friday - Pizza from Cici's Pizza (new in town)

  • Sat/Sun - leftovers or eat out
Review of last week's new recipe:
Sausage with Peppers and Pasta - Well, it looks really pretty but hubby and I thought it was very bland. If you decide to try it I think it needs onions and plenty of seasoning. Not a keeper here.

Hope you are all having a great Monday.♥

Everything sounds so good!

Aww...I hate when you try out a new recipe and it needs something else. And I agree with Marilyn, everything is better with onions! : )

a Cici's opened in my hometown (pa) and Champs' parents were just telling us a story of how his grandparents sooo wanted to eat there, but once they were there they were disappointed. We all knew it wouldn't be the kind of place for them, but they had to learn it on their own, I suppose. I, however, think a buffet with all kinds of pizza is amazing!!!

Delicious looking menu! You are so brilliant, making menus and planning so far ahead!!
Thank you for your sweet comment on my anniversary post. We do love where we live and we think it is beautiful too. We feel blessed to be able to live here.
We are getting sunshine today, so it's off to paint the fence, and work on some more flower beds.
Have a wonderful day today!!

The CiCi's in my city closed unexpectedly a couple of months ago, and then this weekend had a "grand opening" banner up. I'm sure there's some kind of story there, but I'm just happy that it's back.

My menu is up HERE if you'd like to take a peek!  :)

Perhaps some green seasoning, Darlene--like basil, would help.

Not sure what sounds the best, the Santa Fe stuffed peppers, or cici's pizza. Both sound like good eats to me.

Don't you just wonder sometimes if anybody has tasted the recipes before making them available to others. I've found the same thing at times, a recipe that looks beautiful but just tastes bland.

Good Morning Darlene :)
That fence is a long one. I so glad that it is done and now I can look for some more plants to plant along it!
Hope you have a good day today. Hope you do something fun ! :)

The menu sounds delish!! Those stuffed peppers are making me hungry! We've been grilling out a lot and I love it, because the hubby does the hard part! Plus, it doesn't mess up the kitchen! :)

Hope you guys are having a great week!♥

Hi Darlene, I have been trying to get to your blog to thank you for your sweet comments. Both days I have been gone most of the day, I bowl on Tuesdays and once I get to town I run errands and get groceries. Before you know it the day is gone. We live 16 miles from town.

Funny, as soon as I saw the pasta I was interested. Bill loves that combination. Maybe more sauce. We'll see. smile.

We will celebrate our anniversary on Saturday night. We are going to a play and dinner. I need a sitter for Cheri'. Smile. My sisters will help out I am sure.

Your menu sounds good. I rarely think ahead for cooking unless I have company. Then I plan, plan, plan. I love cooking for company. I would love to cook for your family. :)

Have a wonderful day.
Love, Jeanne

Your menu looks good, Darlene! I agree, food needs onions! I love 'em! I just bought a new crock pot and need to cook something in it. Do you ever use one?
Thanks for always popping in to see me. I really appreciate you, Darlene.
Did you notice I was having a Bathroom Beauty Snapping party on May 7? Would you and maybe Lexi join me? I'd love it.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
