Yesterday.......

Alan put the new net on Lexi's trampoline.  Her old net was brittle and falling apart with holes all in it.
While I...........dusted, vacuumed and mopped the floors.

Laundered the kitchen floor rugs and hung them out in the sun to dry.

I snipped off some spent blooms on my Knock Out rose bush.

I even had enough time to sit out on my back porch swing and read my magazines for a while before the whirlwind AKA Lexi got home from school.
Gotta tell you........Life is Good!!!!

Thanks for sending me warm weather wishes! I'm so ready for steady warm weather. Does it snow where you are? If not---start looking for a house for me ! :)

It certainly is! I love that you can hang things out. Our neighbors have a burn barrel. I gave up hanging out years ago. Your rose bush is heavenly. I bet it smells as good as it looks! ★Linda

Hi Darlene,
Yes... please share the warm weather! We still have the funace running. Can't wait until I can complain about the heat :)

Whew! I'm tired from reading about how much you got done!! I'd probably have opted for reading the magazines first...you're GOOD! :)

LOVE that "bratty squirrel" photo "shoot". We don't have problems with those critters at this house...cuz we don't have any trees...or bird feeders! They were enormous pests at our old house....we had 7 mature trees in the yard and about 23 squirrel nests in each one!

Hope you're having a great week! L, Dana

Hi Darlene..
We are crying buckets and buckets here because of all of this snow!
I keep wondering where all this global warming is that I keep hearing about .... believe me, I could use a bit of global warming today :)
I told my husband that you folks don't see much in the way of snow. He asked me if there are tornados there. I told him I would ask you. I am ready to live some place that has a more temperate climate. One suggestion was that we should move to New Zealand ??
Enjoy the gorgeous day!

Busy busy -- and what a warm beautiful day there -- I just posted about getting snow -- yes, that's snow and here you are enjoy such a wonderful day even flowers - o my how I love flowers!

Kerin said...

Thanks for the info. Is it common for people to have basements? Years ago my sister lived in Illinois, and they had a basement there that they would seek shelter from during tornados.
Honestly, the older I get, the more and more that I do not want to shovelsnow. But, I also do not want to be without enough water. We lived in Arizona for a while, and it is TOO dry for me. My husband lived in Hawaii for a while, and it is gorgeous, but an island. After a bit, you run out of places to go see. I'm wondering where the perfect place to live is?

Shelia said...

Hi Darlene! Look at your floors! They're so clean we could eat off them! You could grow potatoes on mine! :)
I remember the trampoline days! My daughter bounced and flopped and had the best time! We didn't have a net! That's a great idea. Now you'll have to go out and snap a picture of Lexi jumping!
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

Good morning Darlene. Yes, life is good. Just getting some chores done does wonders for feeling all is right with the world. Today I AM getting some chores done around here. Lately I need company to get me motivated to do chores. Well, right now, for a change, no company in our schedule for at least a month. That means I need to motivate myself. I just have to think... if somethings happens to me today, I will suffer in heaven knowing what a mess my closets are. HA!

My grands have a trampoline and the screen is so important. Good job done. I laughed when you said Lexi was a whirlwind. She would have to be to accomplish all she does. My granddaughter Ashley is so like Lexi. I know I Have said that many times.

Don't forget to think about a visit to our mountains. We would love to have you.

If I am going to do chores I better get Bill off to work and get busy.

Enjoy your day.

Love, Jeanne

Hi Darlene
Your weather looks to be sooo good and look how green everything is.
Good thing to replace that trampoline. Do you leave it out all the time?
I LOVE your roses. Hard to imagine you guys were having yuckier weather than us this winter...with the snow that we seemed to be missing...and still you are ahead as usual.

Our April has been sooo great but we won't be looking at flowers like that for some time...although spring flowers are out earlier this year.

have a great weekend...sit back smell the roses...read your magazines...
enjoy
Judi
