Can You Tell Me What This Plant Is????

Thanks so much....you all are the BEST!!  It is a Yucca.
Two of these were planted several years ago.  I guess I thought I would remember what they were.  I don't.  Can any of you help?  This is up close.
It also shoots up a pinkish stalk in the middle once a year that opens.  Also, some of the buds on it start looking like little tiny pumpkins.

Thanks so much for the help.♥

Darlene, I am no help in identifying this strange plant. Be sure to show us a picture when it blooms....I guess that is a bud on the end of that pinkish stick...

Happy Mother's Day/

Is that a bloom coming out? I think I might know if it has a blue bloom.

Blessings,

Wish I could help you Darlene..that sounds like a strange plant! If the little pumpkins get to be big ones...hold onto them for Halloween! LOL Come say hi, it's a special day on my blog today! :D

I have one, and I've drawn a blank on the name. Let me think, I'll be back when my mind reboots!

Hi Darlene, your flower beds are going to be wonderful. Come over tomorrow and check out a plant I have fallen in love with. I have no idea what that plant could be. I'm bad at remembering what plants are.

Thank you for your sweet comment about my post today. Yes, Cheri' is my girl. She never leaves me alone. I remember you told me your little poodle is always on your lap. She is so cute how can you resist her. Cheri' is our baby for sure.

Have a wonderful weekend with your family. Tell you dh I think he rocks. I do all the gardening around here. Bill has no interest at all. He will help if I ask him.

Good night my friend,
Jeanne xoxo

I don't know what it is. Very interesting though. It looks really good there in the bed with the hosta. Good luck with your search. I hope you have a great Mother's day and weekend.

You've got me stumped! Guess it can stay... as long as it's green and growing and not a menace to the gardens :)
Keep us all posted.
Have a fun day! I'll be thinking of you and your warm weather :)

Yucca! I couldn't think of it last night, it came to me this morning. It looks like a yucca that I have, they have very stiff pointy tough leaves. It's a member of the agave family; very heat and drought resistant. Google it and you may can find a photo and identify the variety.

Sorry, Darlene! I'm no help. I have no idea. I'm going to take a wild stab in the dark here, but it looks like the beginnings of a Century Plant (Spanish Bayonette), but I could well be wrong and probably am. Are the edges of the plant sort of sharp? If so, that MIGHT be what it is. Other than that, I would guess some sort of lily. Again, I could be leading you down the garden path. No pun intended. LOL!

XO,

Sheila :-)

The pinkish stalk makes me think of rhubarb. I don't have a green thumb, but I have seen many rhubarb plants.
Happy Mother's Day.....

I have so few plants, that it's easy for me to recall what they are! :) I am not a gardener. I LOVE beautiful landscapes, but don't do a good job staying with the plants and keeping them pretty!

Thanks for the MDay well wishes! We did have a wonderful day....good brunch and after wards, we watched Julie and Julia on Netflix!! My DIL had never seen it.

I'm still stuffed from our brunch and tired from playing with the grand babies! A great night to settle in and watch Desp. Housewives and Bros. and Sisters!!

Hope you had a wonderful day with your family!!! L, Dana
